  1. Spot on, my friend! I’m very much looking forward to getting a peek at mine after the good lads at Hannants send it to me. It looks to be a pretty darn accurate Hurricane, as well!
  2. Can’t leave well enough alone, I’m fixing the hard demarcation on the rear fuselage, and the prop. Some brake lines just got added, and aa bit of grease/grunge on the wheels. Trying to find aa good diagram of the wireless antenna. This isn’t exactly a 109 that has been studied to death…
  3. Yea that’s my plan. I’m setting it aside to finish the flaps and work on my GB entry, then I’ll go at it again in a couple weeks
  4. Yes Martin I shall. Plus fixing the hard line between the white and blue on the rear. and dull the prop and spinner. I just need a break. LOL
  5. This is more up my alley, so we’ll proceed with happiness and grace 😁
  6. Thanks, it was very dark where I snapped those last two pics, but once it clears up outside, we’ll see about pics in the sunlight. I apparently need to take the sheen off the prop and spinner (oops), but we’ll do that today. And a hard cami line on the rear fuselage I absolutely missed. Easy and quick fixes, but still more to do. It certainly looks a bit flat and dead in the dark. Tonight after I find time, I’ll get some good pics posted
  7. Sasha, I just found this build, and ooooh boy, what a great start! A truly unique and classic 1950’s fighter!
  8. A bit of work on this today. Some washing of parts, cleaning of the bench, and painting components. This looks like it will be a very nice build. Not too many parts, and like most WW1 models, half the work needed is in the cockpit.
  9. I’m calling this finished, or at least close to it, but once I finish the PE flaps, I will mount them. As the weeks go by, I’ll finish the brake lines, soften a couple hard edges, DUST IT OFF! Install a radio antenna, etc. VB-83 was deployed on CV-9 USS Essex and starting in March 1945, was fully engaged in the attacks on the Marianas Islands VB-83 and their SB2C-4 Helldivers also played a very large part in the attack and sinking of IJN Yamato.
  10. I feel the same. I thoroughly enjoyed my Helldiver build. It was a challenge and more so because I decided to add to it, but the feeling of succeeding is a nice feeling. Quite honestly, the resin kit is an easier build if you want to go all in like I did, but if you want a closed up aircraft or have the wings folded, Infinity is the way go go.
  11. Cool! I just ordered 2 Junkers D1’s and a Roland 2 seater.
  12. Excellent! One thing I’m thinking about here is creating a special area for workarounds such as this. That way, they can all be moved there and anyone who has one can post it and help others.
  13. It could very well be one of those French Helldivers on one of their postwar African cruises…. They sure got some good use out of them
  14. The twin 50s are kit parts. I doctored them up a bit for sure, and still need to add the ammo belts from the feed trays to the breeches, but other than that, it’s pretty much done.
  15. I’d say they turned yellow and ran, but that’s simply my opinion. I don’t believe in coincidence.
  16. Yep, I bought it and it’s a GREAT book. Some very good builds in there, as well as a finished HPH C-47
  17. There’s been a new one standing on end under the bench for a year or so. Time to swap ‘em out.
  18. There’s not enough room on his uniform for all his decorations.
  19. When you get older, the SECOND thing that goes is the memory 🤣 If I recall, the Egyptians sound bones not far from the crash site but little to no effort was made to identify the body? It makes you wonder how many more wrecks are out there. Both Allied and Axis.
