  1. Thanks. I will also add a field fuel transfer. I may put the generator on wheels.
  2. I ended up making the base again. The larger rocks did not work for me. I want to add a field generator and a field fuel transfer rig but nothing exists in 1/32 so I am trying to make them. first coat paint on the base, I am waiting for the various schrubs to show up in the mail to continue painting.
  3. Update. Remade the base. I am waiting on the grass stuff to come in. I will need to paint the base which I was not planning on doing, it looks to dark for the dio.
  4. We learn by making mistake, I least I am.
  5. Made a big mistake, I wanted to seal everything with 777 glue and it made the base little fuzzy, no bueno. will start over.
  6. Thanks Pete. here's the first look. Much more to do on it
  7. Thanks Harv Gluing in process and edge pre painting. Will let it all rest 24 hours before I start the ground work.I glued the mat to a large piece of black styrene, the ground mat is from a reptile store. It was a challenge to cut it straight because of the small rocks, I ended cutting it from the back with a surgical scalpel. This is what I will try to achieve.
  8. Pete, dont know about next choice. Will proceed with this and will see how it looks. Never done anything this big of ground work before so again outside my comfort zone, you got to push your limit. I made a frame of the truck if I need to add some tire marks since I don't want to use my truck to do it. preview of the figures.
  9. Started on the base. I am not so sure the desert scene is the way to go at this point, mmmmmnn!!!! I got the mat from a reptile place.
  10. How did I miss this build. A great subject for sure. Looks so sharp.
  11. Started on the tail rotor. A lot of masking on this. I had to take extra care when pulling the tape not to break the fragile PE parts. Next is some chipping and a wash. The tail rotor on the H 34 is pretty clean compare to other helicopters since the engine exhausts are on the front of the helo.
  12. After so many months working on the truck. It's finally done. Now back to the helo.
  13. I have questioned myself at every step with this build. Thanks Pete. I like build aircrafts better
  14. Very first wheel, its a bit strong so will fate down a bit
  15. Thanks Martin i needed a touch of color so i made a fire extinguisher, will post photos when done. I used to be in awe of Verlinden as well.
