How? Painted the recessed area and polished the rest? -

Great catch Peter, thank you for your encouragement and continuous support. Carl already explained the differences in colours, I can only add that even the regular Green/Grey camouflage was applied in two opposing/reversed forms. Similarly as you can see t on Hurricanes for instance. Again I am learning as I go, there are guys who would be able to explain these anomalies in depth. Nevertheless I am finding this odd D.H. design more and more captivating. Thank You Hubert, the outside engine side would required significantly more time to tackle and this build should be as easy as passable :). I am still tweaking out the radiator transitions. Feels never-ending . Nacelles are a different can of worms, that is probably not worth opening. I could cannibalize Tamiya and consequently being hated for another 3, maybe 4 generations to come. The Eduard resin wheels of the correct diameter reset the stance and I will call it done with some additional detail, like brake hoses, bolts etc.. time for some tunes

A quick update. Last night I’ve been through a bunch of photographs of Canadian built Mosquitos to establish the style and general location of the demarcation lines. this morning I freehanded the basic colours which exposed all the imperfections and booboos to deal with. More refinement of the front windows with the help of a polishing wheel. No way I can do this by hand. then more filler and scribing. Once the surface is finalized I can focus on the inner details.

Hi Chris , just catching up with your build. lots of great work on the big tail conversion. A have a question about masking, what is going on around those wiper blades cutouts ? Also, is the front portion of the nose turret going to be painted? Should be transparent. Cheers Martin -

Thank you stopping by Gary. Honestly I’m in the same boat, hardly catching with all of the amazing builds that are happening around here. The woodwork on your S-boat is breathtaking, still need the check the rest. Mossie is getting rivets , seams are getting needed clean up and the broken undercarriage is drying with the fenders on. spinners received dove rivets and additional details. found few pictures of bashed propellers so , creative juices here we go

Not a ZM guy, but this is a "must have" kit. Together with the Kotare Spitfire.
