It certainly seems that way! In 30 years of marriage our only auto repair bills have been two services at $375 and of course any alignments or tire work. Oh, there was that one engine swap, but it was because of having to pay a shop to maintain a warranty. Around the house I've (we) remodeled all three bathrooms and the kitchen. Heavy yard work is starting to wear me out quickly. Might have to get sly here and hire it out on days she works and tell her I took the day off to trim the shrubs. She went on a girls weekend one time and came home to new carpet on the 16X16 screen porch. Another time she ripped out half the basement carpet in her side where she has her treadmill and workout area. While she was at work I laid down the carpet squares in here area for her. I did the '66 all by myself. Paint & Body, interior, wiring, built custom gauge cluster, interior, etc. Only thing I farmed out was the exhaust and pressing on axle bearings and they about ruined my axle in the process. Might as well jump in on the thread... I've got too many hobbies! Small collection of firearms. Here's a few. I built this one from a destroyed Colt 1911 my Dad had. Special ordered a Caspian frame with his DOB as the SN. I gave it to him for Christmas when he was about 79 or 80. He carried it everywhere to show everyone like a kid with a new toy. To this day, I think it was the best gift I have ever given to him, and we got a response from him that was very uncharacteristic of him. Now sporting a set of real Ivory grips from Nutmeg. Of course I have my Mustangs.... Few woodworking projects.... A bandsaw box I built for the wife. And my current project, highly modifying this Harbor Freight tool box by removing the tall casters under it, building a "chassis" for it to sit in with casters that put it lower to the floor along with floor stops to keep it from rolling away and the butcher block top. Here the top is just sitting on it. I'm currently adding about 3" of Red Oak edging to make it a little wider.

Ha! I had the same curb. Filled it in with 4 bags of Sakrete Concrete! Made all the difference in the world. Off the top of my heads, my mods are Steeda Progressive springs, 20mm wheel spacers, Magnaflow Street exhaust, Barton shifter, Mishimoto intake tube, Hurst type white shift knob, jacking rails, 50th anniversary. Tail lights, Coyote badged trunk panel and one of the best cheap mods was the the covers I put over the sun visor airbag warnings. But that hood of yours, oh man how I have hood envy!

Hey everyone! Joined up a while back and I've just been lurking around. After chiming in on Martins Mustang thread (Yea, I have hood envy!) I thought I better speak up finally. A few of you will probably recognize me from TOS. I use the same handle on all my forums ever since I grabbed it way back in 1999 when I brought home my '66 Mustang GT project. Staying busy adding to the stash, not so busy at the bench since my latest project is doing my best to bring order and less chaos to my garage where I pull off all of my woodworking and car work. Hopefully this Saturday I can finally finish up a major milestone project I've been obsessively focusing on since well over a year. If all goes as planned, I can put aside the garage projects until this fall and focus on kits again. On deck is an Academy SUFA kit I'm going to build as a Block 52 SCANG D model that my MD gets back seat time in since he is the Flight Surgeon for the unit. Going to be hit and miss since my first grand baby has her first birthday coming up soon and the daughter expects her toy box to be ready by then! At least I'll have more room in the garage to spread out now!

Hey guys, I've been lurking here for a while since I joined up a few months back. But just had to chime in here Martin. Take the stickers off the bottom and put them on the side. Only way these will be seen is if you roll the car over! Once you have it high enough to read these, its too late anyway. These are one of the BEST mods I did on my '15. Although my car has been lowered with Steeda springs as well. And the first time you drive drag over a "hump" expect to change your underwear. I've actually gotten hung up on a high curved exit at a gas station one time. Thankfully it was at an uphill attitude and pressing in the clutch pedal let me roll off. Very loudly with a horrendous scraping sound as well. Everyone was looking to see if I had run into something and was dragging it. And actually, no need for the stickers, anywhere you can grab these with a jack is GTG.
