  1. Geeeeeez guys! I've been away two days and utter mayhem breaks out! This really 'walks out of the hand' :)

I simply sprayed a base of some different shades of light brown Mr Hobby color. Then dotted some artist oils and went berzerk with a flat brush lightly dipped in terpentine.

When it starts to dry I use a harder flat brush to obtain the thin lines and streaks. Then sprayed some very light dark grey to get some stained wood.

Soo.... Who's going to Heiden on Sunday??

  2. You're too slick for me. How do you maintain soft skin with your output? ;)

I don't! I have Zap a Gap on my knuckles. Artist oils under my nails. And X-acto cuts in my finger prints.

Next time i shake your hand I will however check your moisture level, cuticles, calluses, and other wear and tear.

    Just so you know...

  3. Nice start Jeroen! Where do you find the time, cranking out all those models??!

And when-oh-when will you build o model without a ventilator but with a blowtorch....

    Hi Erik!

I don't actually. That's why this is going to be a long long term project.

    Here's what I just got:

    !Be31o5g!mk~$(KGrHqUH-DsErgrIt5JNBK+DmVG

It's a replica WW1 Territorial Force War Medal for Captain Andrew Glover Inglis ASC who transfered from the ASC to the RFC.

It's his plane that I will be making and now resides at Hendon.

    Cheers!

  4. Great review guys.

    No questions left!

It has been said before but the detail of these WnW kits keeps getting better and better.

I mean, look at the opened up louvres on the engine plating!

I think the next step will be to include the rocker arms and pistons. Just like on the ZM Uhu.

Don't know what that will add, but it's the only thing i can think of.

    Cheers,

    Jeroen

  5. Calibrate the altimeter, Jeroen - it reads about 50 ft higher than where you are.... :D

    Fantastic panel, indeed.

Will be looking forward to the rest of this build.

    Hi George,

Thnx! Cees just pointed out to me that the instruments were often positioned in angles in the ww1 IP's.

Just had a look at the WnW site, and he's right!

I positioned all the instrument's as indicated by WnW, but maybe they used the Hendon machine as an example.

    Check this out:

  6. Hi all!

Having almost finished the Fokker E.III and the fact that I've got a few days off, I decided to crack open the Ninak.

Got all the HGW upgrades available. The IP panel is fantastic. Sand down the plastic bezels. Glue the PE plate one.

Then a wood grain decal, followed by PE circles for the instruments. Then the kits' decals. Followed by PE bezels.

Al it needs not is the compass and the copper switches.

Pretty impressed so far and I've only covered the IP!

    Cheers,

    Jeroen
