1:32 Hasegawa Bf 109K-4
Typhoonattack replied to nzdavidh's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Excellent. I hope my own (1:24 scale), K-4 ends up looking as nice. -
The more I think on it, a Fokker D.II or D.III would also be very cool.

Fokker E.I 8/15, Uffz. Kneiste, FFA 62, August 1915
Typhoonattack replied to James H's topic in Eindecker GB
I can't help but wonder if there's any chance of a Fokker D.II or D.III coming from WNW in the future? -
1:32 Revell Junkers Ju87 B-2
Typhoonattack replied to rieser's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
I always thought the old Revell Stuka (without wings), would make a great back scratcher, or perhaps be pressed into service as a wood rasp. -

They do look outstanding. When the cash allows, I may have to order a couple. -

To quote from The Agony and the Ecstasy; "When will you make an end"? -
Warsaw and Sevastapol (amongst others), were both recipients of shells from these huge mortars, and that had to be horribly unnerving.

Trumpeter also made a nice 1:35 Munitionsschlepper, if you were not already aware.

I don't know for sure which barrel is depicted on the cover, the 54cm or 60cm. I think the longer barrel is the 54cm, but don't really recall. I'll PM a scan of the track securing mechanism as requested. Regards,

According to this Panzer Tracts book on the Karl, the tracks were flush with the bottom of the road wheels, held in place by turnbuckles to the upper portions of the track, (above the return rollers). This was presumably done to keep tracks from dragging along the rails, as clearance was an issue.

Suggestions needed..........( model for 9 year old ) (??)
Typhoonattack replied to olfogey's topic in Modelling Discussion
As regards the Huge aspect, you can't really beat the Revell/Monogram 1:48 and 1:72 bomber kits. Smaller scales, but big models. The B-14, B-24, B-52 and B-36 come to mind. (Perhaps a bit late for all this, but I just saw his thread for the first time.) -

Typhoonattack replied to Typhoonattack's topic in WW1 Reference Material
Just spotted these Jasta 18 decals from Pheon today. I knew they existed, but had failed to mention them.
