Just watched the whole thing on BBC iplayer. Very good indeed. Also very funny in places, especially if you have a 'forces humour' like i do.

How close is it to the truth or is it dramatised, I’ve  read the Phantom Major many times,  a very good read.

It's actually very close to the truth. There is a little bit of embellishment on it but if i am honest, nothing that detracts from the whole thing. I totally recommend it
