They were finding Kar 98ks in Iraq in 2003 and some of the WW2 ships were still be scrapped 15 year ago . Fascinating stuff.

That is really interesting reading.  Normally I look at a site , scan over it and that is about it, but this read was exceptional. I read the whole thing. I have always wondered who cleaned up the mess. Thanks for sharing

It was the 40's I guess , I think we sank most of the U Boat fleet off the coast of Ireland as expediency , Operation Dreadnaught .

Fascinating reading, what a huge mess to clear up, the disposal of chemical weapons is scary reading.
