  1. HOLY.................. me too 7 years last month ! Where does the time go?? And, I don't miss it one iota ( 'iota' .... word of the week ! )
  2. Thanks Gaz, that may be a consideration as well, although I would like to keep the temp at a fairly constant 60 f.... 'ish' if possible..... thanks for the input.... everything helps
  3. My buddy said that was the way to go, a closed circuit so to speak.... may have to seriously look into that
  4. It can get chilly, like -20 c and the dehumidifier is a good idea....and yes quite damp at times.... although where I am , it's not like at the coast.....
  5. Ok............................ I will ask the question, that I really need some input on, if you guys can... about to build a garage for my Corvettes.... it is going to be a free standing building concrete floors, wood construction , insulated, kind of want a small shop , man cave.... nothing outlandish, .... I live in Canada, where the winters are damp and chilly, not really 'cold' but never the less, it will , or I want it to have a little heat.... only want to keep it about 60 deg F , with the opportunity to warm it up a bit so I can get in there in the winter and polish wheels etc..... so the question is...... what o you guys use to heat your shops/garages.... yes I have natural gas , but that is a bit pricey for my application.... furnace wud be hugely expensive.... electric base boards aren't really that much better...... just wondering if there is something out there, that maybe I missed that is fairly efficient and not overly pricey.... probably isn't but I thought I would throw it out there and ask, as one never knows... and a wood fired stove is definitely not in the picture... any ideas??
  6. Oh man, can't imagine the maintenance costs on that one..............................
  7. "Pre-rinse".....................
  8. I'm glad I'm not alone....
  9. Yup, I HATE winter too, 38 years of plowing winter highways... and one day I got caught working !! LOL tps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXpqIga1yHE
  10. No leather???? Leather seats, heated and cooled, and heated leather wrapped steering wheel..... all in my Chevy, obviously ,I am way too delicate to be a Jeep guy.... Cool rides none the less, and congrats Ryan on a very sweet ride... love the color...
  11. Ok I am in for the 30 part, not sure I have quite enough room for 40, but that does give me good food for thought..... thanks, always great to get new ideas....
  12. Thanks Harv... just a few random thoughts....
  13. Ern I want to build a garage for my cars, what is the size of your garage?? I have two I need to keep warm and dry
  14. If nothing else, it certainly has been a spirited conversation.... and I think you're right Ern, the Covid stuff has made everyone edgy ,and from where I'm sitting it has spilled out here a little bit.... also from where I sit, I really like this place, and I really like all of you guys, like a family we argue once in a while and sometimes it gets a bit heated with emotion.... lots of good points made over this and maybe now that there has been some venting everyone can take a little bit from this and reflect.... a couple things I DO know is... life is short , there isn't enough good beer in the world, ( we can always use a little more) and there is WAY TOO MUCH snow in my yard...... love you guys.... we are family..... (isn't there a song like that somewhere??)
