BlrwestSiR
Time to pick this build back up and hopefully finish it. The landing gear legs are in brass, which is great as they'll hold the plane up. There wasn't much cleanup needed thankfully. On the linkage arms, I drilled and mounted a brass rod to use to anchor the retraction spring. I then installed the main legs followed by the linkages Time to let this set up.
DocRob
Good to see the Furies back at the bench. Landing gear looks good and will be strong enough for the beast. Cheers Rob 3
Peterpools
Carl Nice progress on the gear - meticulously done. I completely forgot they were brass, as I built mine many moons ago. She is a beauty waiting to become the Queen of your collection, as mine has been for years. 2

BlrwestSiR
I did more of the detail work on the MLG. There's a set of springs that are used to retract the gear legs. They attach to the linkage arms onto the brass rod I inserted earlier. I drilled a second mount into the gear bay beside the MLG leg The kit includes a resin piece for this spring but I replaced it with some steel spring wire I have cut to length. This was slipped over the brass rod in the gear bay and then onto the pin on the linkage.
Peterpools
Carl WOW, great detail with adding a 'real' MLG retraction spring ... looks mighty good. 1
