FullArmor
Thank you. Just realised how hard this plastic is compared to Tamiya.
PanzerWomble
The opportunity to weather something to death I've found Hobby boss stuff generally has a decent fit , so hopefully so with your build .
FullArmor
"The opportunity to weather something to death" True. That was the idea. To learn and try different techniques. Also i like angular surfaces.
FullArmor
Suspension units done. Here is my basic tools which i use to remove spruemarkings. I do not use metalfile. Sandingsticks are made of stirringsticks and sandingpaper glued together. Then i remove sanding marks with scotch brite. What are your basic tools? 3
FullArmor
Lower hull almost done. I am impressed level of detail this kit has. 6
PanzerWomble
Curious , the AFV club Centurion provides a real metal spring for the suspension units, I see Hobbyboss doesn't. TBH it's makes little difference on the AFV club one other than a very limited movement. Tamiya's old MK3 clunker had it all as one moulded lump . Are you using the plastic individual tracks or going metal ? Personally find the metal tracks a lot easier to work with than glueing single links together. +1 for Scotchbright - absolutely great for removing the odd glue fingerprint as well I find 😀 1
FullArmor
I would like to have metal tracks. Or workable tracks made of plastic. Any recommendations?
FullArmor
Upper and lower hull fitting. Made few mistakes. Hopefully addon armor fill cover gaps :) 3

Any recommendations? I tend towards Fruilmodel from CZ though they announced this summer they are shutting down . You can still find their stuff on eBay eg Just an example
FullArmor
Just realized that my drive sprockets dont fit tracks. There is about 1 mm gap needed between sprockethalves 3
PanzerWomble
Thats poor of Hobby boss - you can shim it perhaps ?
PanzerWomble
Or cut off the individual teeth on the inner sprocket where they are covered by the track so it fits and you don't see misfit . Done that trick before !
