JohnB Posted June 27, 2024 Author Posted June 27, 2024 Turned out just fine I think. I can see why folks sometimes think that it's black as the insignia blue certainly is dark. 5

BlrwestSiR Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 Looks great John. Might have to get one of these as well. 2

CANicoll Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 Looking Good John! What seatbelts did you use? Great job on the props - not sure I would have taken that on. Well done. 3
Peterpools Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 John Looking mighty good and I always thought the underwing US ARMY was black and not insignia blue - always something new to learn. 1

Well done. Thanks Chris. FineMolds belts as usual which are my "go to" belts. The prop "adjustment" turned out to be easier than I expected. No sweat surprisingly. 🙂 2

Thank you Peter. I too had always thought it to be black and in some cases it probably was. Hard to tell! 1
Peterpools Posted June 28, 2024 Posted June 28, 2024 Thanks, John for the insight. I just always assumed they were black. 1

Years ago, I went to Middlesboro, Kentucky, to see the P-38 that was pulled out of the glacier...."Glacier Girl". I saw the original US ARMY on the wing. It looked like a very very dark blue to my eye. 2
