Turned out just fine I think. I can see why folks sometimes think that it's black as the insignia blue certainly is dark.

Looks great John.

Might have to get one of these as well.

Thanks Carl. You will like the kit. A easy build with good fit, etc. Lots of different schemes to do too. 🙂

Looking Good John!  What seatbelts did you use?  Great job on the props - not sure I would have taken that on.  Well done.

Thanks Chris. FineMolds belts as usual which are my "go to" belts. The prop "adjustment" turned out to be easier than I expected. No sweat surprisingly. 🙂

John

Looking mighty good and I always thought the underwing US ARMY was black and not insignia blue -  always something new to learn.

:construction:

Thank you Peter. I too had always thought it to be black and in some cases it probably was. Hard to tell!

It's Insignia Blue but it can surely appear to be black! LOL

You did it right.

Years ago, I went to Middlesboro, Kentucky, to see the P-38 that was pulled out of the glacier...."Glacier Girl".

I saw the original US ARMY on the wing.  It looked like a very very dark blue to my eye.

Thanks! I had always thought it was black. The Insignia Blue IS pretty dark and can easily be misinterpreted as black. 🙂

That must have been very cool to see.
