Turned out just fine I think. I can see why folks sometimes think that it's black as the insignia blue certainly is dark.

Looking Good John!  What seatbelts did you use?  Great job on the props - not sure I would have taken that on.  Well done.

Looking mighty good and I always thought the underwing US ARMY was black and not insignia blue -  always something new to learn.

Thanks Chris. FineMolds belts as usual which are my "go to" belts. The prop "adjustment" turned out to be easier than I expected. No sweat surprisingly. 🙂

You did it right.

Years ago, I went to Middlesboro, Kentucky, to see the P-38 that was pulled out of the glacier...."Glacier Girl".

I saw the original US ARMY on the wing.  It looked like a very very dark blue to my eye.

Thanks! I had always thought it was black. The Insignia Blue IS pretty dark and can easily be misinterpreted as black. 🙂
