Making a German WW2 airfield diorama. This will have an AA gun emplacement, partial runway, staff car, figures, interior items for buildings and some planes.

Making concrete AA gun emplacement from one inch foam. I will cover the foam using hydrocal 30.

Honestly I don’t believe there is a market for built dioramas. However, if anyone is interested😁
 

Today I went to Lowe’s and bought a 4x8 sheet of pink insulation foam. I cut it to make the 2x4 foot base. I will start laying out the runway and make the foundations for the buildings.

Poured foundations and made AA emplacement from foam mold. Will pour runway tomorrow.

Threw diorama in the trash can and started a smaller version. Adding weeds/grass between cracks. Hydrocal is drying should be a light gray.

Have to rethink the concrete. Not liking it at all. Going to try a different technique so I might have to scratch this one.
