The forecast for the newt two weeks in Portugal is overall sunny, with a risk of rain just on November 1st, and temps ranging between highs of 23 Celsius, and night lows around 15 Celsius.

And we have good beers, but frankly, wine is better and with a much wider choice :wine: .
Enjoy your trip.

Thanks much for the weather report. We had an absolutely wonderful time. Really enjoy Lisbon and Porto. I’m definitely in love!!!

Okay back to the build after our return from Portugal. Spent some time today assemble the drivers side suspension. Glad I had the passenger side as a reference!

Oh and PS if you have the opportunity to visit Portugal and Spain please do. We absolutely feel in love with both countries and look forward to a return visit soon.

Okay back to building, lol!!

Started assembling the front suspension in step 7!! Talk about fiddly!!! Especially the mounting brackets that attach the front axles!! Fortunately Andy’s Hobby Warehouse YouTube video came to my rescue!!

I’m so pissed off!!!
How could this happen?

One initial and seven booster vaccinations since 2020 and look what I returned from my Portuguese vacation with!!!!
No wonder I was feeling so bad!!!

Okay now what??

As recently as February, a positive rapid test would’ve meant five days of isolation, away from work, school, and/or other obligations that involve going out in public. Not anymore. In March, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) updated its COVID isolation guidelines based on symptoms, not time since testing positive.

The guidelines shifted in part to match those of other common respiratory viral illnesses, including the flu and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV). The CDC now says you’re cleared to resume normal activities when the following are both true for at least 24 hours:

Your symptoms are getting better overall
You haven’t had a fever (and aren’t using fever-reducing medication)
Bottom line: If you’re sick, stay home. If your symptoms persist, you may end up isolating for five or more days after all, but you’ll be doing your part to protect your loved ones, coworkers, and others in your community from infection.

Damn it………

I’ve had all my boosters my last a few weeks before leaving for Portugal. Evidently there’s a new strain making itself known in the EU and that what I had. I can’t imagine what it would have been like without my vaccinations!

Not COVID, but I've been fighting a nasty chest cold the last week. Can't wait till it clears.

Today I’m feeling a bit better. At least I have some energy but not much. I hope you feel better soon also.

That's a lot of obvious injector pin marks to fill on a $150 kit, unless they get hidden later on . 😢

Edit - Trumpeter original tooling .

Haven’t notice much of that on this kit. It’s pretty clean and clean up has been pretty minimal so far.

The Trumpeter kit is completely different from the Das Week one. The Das Werk kit is made in cooperation with Takom, just like Andy's kits.

It’s a beauty I must say. It’s been a bit finicky especially the suspension pieces but overall nothing that couldn’t be handled. I do wish the instructions had some written notes next to each section/subassembly to further clarify some of the more confusing aspects.
