Administrators Clunkmeister Posted June 30 Administrators Posted June 30 For WW2 stuff, how close is Tamiya XF-71? Tamiya claims it to be right. it doesn't seem grey enough to me, but what do I know? thought?
BlrwestSiR Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Not scientific at all since I'm colour blind but here's the 3 versions that I have. L-R: Tru Color TCP-1290 RAF Interior Grey Green, Tamiya XF-71, AK Real Colors RC293 RAF Cockpit Grey Green. I tend to use whichever one comes to hand, except for maybe the Real Colours which dried out a bit it seems. Did I mention I'm colour blind? 2 1
KevinM Posted July 1 Posted July 1 Ernie Tamyia is my go too anymore use to be MM but as we know.......... 1
Winnie Posted July 3 Posted July 3 I like the AK for the color, but I have used the Tamiya and it's close enough for me...
PanzerWomble Posted Saturday at 06:52 PM Posted Saturday at 06:52 PM I personally think although XF21 may matche paint chips ..., but looks too dark scale wise . A lot of those old Tamiya shades were developed a long time ago, & based on museum restorations themselves quite dodgy as anyone building an old Matilda tank will attest . 😀 Theres a train of thought that says the colour was more Eua de Nil . 1
