I started on this one a couple of years ago. I set it aside but periodically did more work on it between other builds. Right now I'm between builds so I decided to do some more work on this kit. A little here and a little there. This is how it stands today. I'll stay on it for a bit and get more done but I'll probably set it aside again while I work on something else. Who knows though, I just might stay with it! We'll see.Β πŸ™‚

Thanks Martin. I plan to stay with it for a bit but I have a couple of other builds on the horizon I'll want to get to.Β πŸ™‚

Solid work! Β I love the attention to details πŸ™

I have the 1/32 HK B-17G in my stash, waiting for the time my skillz catch up to my ambitions (Eduard PE flaps?!?! Oh. My. Gawd. πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«πŸ˜³)

meanwhile, I’ll enjoy watching your build and taking notes πŸ™

I wonder how you can get so much detail in the interiorπŸ‘. But still the side panels cover almost all of thatπŸ™. Do any model airplanes have transparent side panels?Β

it would be great to create a topic with only pictures of the interior of the scale model airplanesπŸ˜€.Β

But you know all the details are there and at the end of the day, that's what matters most🧐

Dry brushing adds a lot to any raised details such as instrument panels, etc. Usually a black painted surface with raised details like instrument faces, etc can be made to pop out with some white dry brushed across them (carefully). There are a few kits with clear fuselage parts, etc but not a lot as far as I know. Trumpeter's 1/32 P-51B has clear fuselage parts. Not a accurate kit though as the nose is too "pointy".Β πŸ™‚

Back on the shelf for a time. The nose has been a PITA and I'm tired of fighting it. 🫀
