Nice! I like these 1/12 Tamiya Motorcycle kits. I have aย  couple in my stash. Will be following๐Ÿ˜€

Yes. And these aren't very expensive. Let's hope I can build this. I wanted to try something different this time.

Looking good FA, Isnยดt it fun, toying with different metallics?

Cheers Rob

Yes. You're exactly right. It's fun to use bright colors. And you don't have to worry about weathering effects.

Nice, but I guess most will be hidden under the fairing. BTW: I think, some more yellow and a bit less blue temper color would be more realistic. The colors show the temperature which the gases inside have in certain areas, tighter passages are hotter and therefore have a different color ranging from blue over red to yellow.

Those exhausts look great. How did you do the heat staining on them?

Thanks๐Ÿ™‚. I used acrylic crystal light blue A-MIG-0098. This isย this is usually used to create lenses and prisms to tanks and cars๐Ÿ˜„

Yes. I know. I don't have the tools or the colors to create different color nuances right now. That would be a nice addition, but some compromises have to be made.

I don't know if you've ever put these together? But that's exactly how I felt when I put the exhaust pipes together. Everything had to be in line at the same time.ย ๐Ÿ˜„

Decal sheet nightmare. Lots of contours.ย I somehow got them on. But there was a lot of room for improvement.ย I ordered the "decal set strong". Maybe it will help meย to do better in the next piece.ย

One reason I haven't built car or motorcycle models is the amount ofย decal sheet maddness.

I'm trying to improve. But maybe I'm too critical of myself. However, this was my first attempt.

The best decal solution to my eye is a hairdryer. Even the most rigid carbon fiber decals settled around the wildest contours using one with the addition of decal softeners.

Rob is right, using a hairdryer really helps to get decals down over some crazy shapes. Scale Motorsports used to recommend it in the instructions for their carbon decals.ย

Another option to try is a towel dipped in very hot water. The only risk there is the decal can potentially lift/move with the towel.ย
