Thanks for commenting. I agree. I am very picky with figures and it never fails the ones I like are expensive. I am still trying to figure out what this diorama will be about. My first thought was to have some German soldiers walking down the street after the war was over and seeing the devastation. I don’t want to glue or pin any figures down because I like the option of changing the theme. 3
CP1 Posted December 14, 2025 Author Posted December 14, 2025 Here is change #3. Waiting for another building kit. 3
biggtim Posted December 22, 2025 Posted December 22, 2025 How the hell do you have time and space for all of these, and where do you get the cool building pieces? Just awesome to watch! 2
CP1 Posted December 22, 2025 Author Posted December 22, 2025 Thanks. Glad to hear you enjoy the builds. Sadly I don’t keep them all. Most get thrown out. People don’t want to buy them and I don’t want to have too many of these things laying around when I die. For the time being it gives me something to do. I don’t understand why people collect so many kits and never build them. When you die your kids don’t know what they are worth and even if they do, most interested buyers won’t pay what you invested. Everyone is looking for a deal. Most collectors are sentimental. Anyhow, as for the buildings you can purchase them from the Internet. Here are a few; Diorama Plus Aka Downtown Deco, RT Diorama (Andy HQ) and Dio Dump (Netherlands). For the most part I always tweak the kits to get the look I am striving for. 1
wemattson Posted December 23, 2025 Posted December 23, 2025 Great diorama idea and thank you for sharing the info on where the building kits come from.
