Interesting fact about the world cup; you're more likely to be bitten by a Suarez than a shark :)

I'm not really one to follow the football but I admit taking a passing interest in the World Cup.   Since our own team was utterly pathetic I've decided to become an honorary Dutch supporter :)

(Saksen = Saxony,

Saks = Saxon (person),

Saksisch = Saxon (heritage etc.)

Oost = east,

Oost Saksen / Oostsaksen = East Saxony = Essex ,

Engeland = Angelland = Anglon-Land = England)

Anglo-Saxons  were the Anglons and Saxons who went from North-West Germany, North-East Netherlands (although there lived mostly Frisians) and Southern Denmark to Britain. In Dutch the are known as the Angelen and the Saksen, giving birth to the combined name of the Angelsaksen.
