Mish Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Built this one over Christmas/New Year 2012/2013. A great kit, really enjoyed building it. Decaled with OH Decals. I think, with the benefit of hindsight I should have added a light panel wash. Although I was pleased with it, imagine my surprise when it won 3rd place in 1:32 and above class at Southern Expo 2013. 4

Spitfire Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Beautiful job, my favourite aircraft in French markings and desert colours which I'm also partial to. Cheers Dennis 1

Mish Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Nice livery Mish, good to see a French Spitfire for a change. Cees Thank you, it was a spur of the minute decision to go with the French option, but one I have not regretted. Beautiful job, my favourite aircraft in French markings and desert colours which I'm also partial to. Cheers Dennis Thank you, I to like the North African schemes. Fine looking Spit, Mish! Thanks Level finish! Lemme guess, you like the Frenchies? I DO see a pattern emerging.... This is the one that awakened my fondness for French markings and aircraft. Earth, Spit & Sky - this one swings. Yep, works for me as well. 1
mywifehatesmodels Posted November 26, 2015 Posted November 26, 2015 Nice looking Spit. The engine looks fantastic and I wouldn't regret not using a wash on the plane as a whole. The panel lines are very visible and the other, subtle weathering features set it off nicely. I think it looks very realistic and sometimes "less is more". John
Mish Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Thanks John, the engine is OOB as far as I can remember
