Wingco57
After spending months on hacking the Lancaster mock-up into a Manchester I got fed up with it for a while. Since completing the Revell Beaufighter last year I felt it time to do a quicky no-brainer inbetweener. The Spitfire I by Revell is the perfect candidate. This will be a high speed build I hope using minimal aftermarket and no hacking and sawing.Since yesterday progress is swift.Cees
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted March 14, 2016 Administrators Share Posted March 14, 2016 They do! Great stuff. Waiting for the 262 panel to hit the shelves. Godspeed Cees!
Wingco57
Thanks, This is my most favourite pic of the Battle of Britain depicting 610 Squadron Spitfires with unusual overlarge fuselage codes. I hope to do one of these, but have to do more research. Cees

Wingco57
Although a no-brainer I had to add the armour plate behind the seat. Strange Revell did not include it. Cees
Wingco57
Re-profiling the kit's propeller blades and sanding the too pointed spinner saves on an aftermarket item. Cees
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted March 22, 2016 Administrators Share Posted March 22, 2016 Nice. Done some more research on the codes? I reckon you can order custom masks from Maketar.
Wingco57
Not yet, Must say those roundel masks are a bit daunting to my liking. And I am lazy too. Cees

Cees But really, once you get the hang of it, it's easier and more satisfying than decals!
Spitfire
Looks nice, I hope to build one of those this year. Cheers Dennis

Wingco57
Reaching the painting stage, While looking for my aurbrush stuff I found a PCM Spitfire IX that I had forgotten about. Killing to birds with one stone the cockpitparts of both Spits were sprayed interior green. Cees
