After spending months on hacking the Lancaster mock-up into a Manchester I got fed up with it for a while. Since completing the Revell Beaufighter last year I felt it time to do a quicky no-brainer inbetweener. The Spitfire I by Revell is the perfect candidate. This will be a high speed build I hope using minimal aftermarket and no hacking and sawing.
Since yesterday progress is swift.

Thanks,

This is my most favourite pic of the Battle of Britain depicting 610 Squadron Spitfires with unusual overlarge fuselage codes.

I hope to do one of these, but have to do more research.

Although a no-brainer I had to add the armour plate behind the seat. Strange Revell did not include it.

Re-profiling the kit's propeller blades and sanding the too pointed spinner saves on an aftermarket item.

Not yet,

Must say those roundel masks are a bit daunting to my liking.

And I am lazy too.

But really, once you get the hang of it, it's easier and more satisfying than decals!

Reaching the painting stage,

While looking for my aurbrush stuff I found a PCM Spitfire IX that I had forgotten about.

Killing to birds with one stone the cockpitparts of both Spits were sprayed interior green.
