I got a 70 and a 58. A few yellows and some yellowfin mixed in. Bluefin was out main quarry though and it was tough going. Plenty of them out there, but they were busy being bluefin. Yellowfin were real nice for this early.

Did you catch any surprises?  Things you weren't wanting to catch, but bit anyway?

A common occurrence here is a shark taking interest in your catch and taking it from you.

Just some bonito. The shark thing will happen during certain trips though.

NOt really a Madonna fan myself though she is a Detroit girl...  I was a Detroit boy...

Unfortunately we have Muzak at work.  Whenever La Isla Bonita comes over, I find myself altering it to La Isla Pendejo's...

I did actually look up the fish...  but the connection was too close to ignore.

Italians and Japanese love them!!!!   I eat them raw and grilled. I just bleed them out and put them on ice fast. If you don't they get mushy

Smitty What boat did you work on as a Chief?and when?  I can't recall

La Isla Bonito?

La Isla Bonita is another name for the Island of La Palma which I see every morning from my place if the sight is clear. Lots of Madonnas there, but not the mentioned one, phew :D

Royal Polaris, 2014 season. Didnt really have the time to deal with the bonito properly, but I am aware of that. I have a freezer full of bluefin!
