I think X22 is lacquer-type. Works great with Tamiya thinner or Mr Levelling Thinner.

And the end result is OUT-STAN-DING ...l beats Future and any other gloss varnish hands down.

No, I mean X22. Whether this product is the same, I have some doubts about it, but really don’t know, sorry.

I have used X-22, but never seen that one before, it looks like Vallejo. Before you spray, test a few drops in a small cup with a drop of the thinner you plan to use. Try alcohol or lacquer, see what happens.

Will do. I will use it tomorrow and see how the new Super Metals look when sprayed onto it. :thumbsup2:

The varnish was $16.99 AUD.

Dale, if you mean this stuff, I don't think you can airbrush it.

It's meant to be used like a car wax. You apply a couple drops and rub it in. It works nicely on canopies.

Dale, I missed the link you posted but it's the same stuff.

Here's a bit more I found on a retailer's site.

https://www.sunwardhobbies.ca/gloss-coating-varnish-by-tamiya-87151/

It says it's water based and confirmed that applying with a cloth is the best approach.

Okay thanks very much.

I do wish these Japanese companies could offer some information in English.

I might have to build a Ferrari. :D

Hi Dale, yes I apply it before masking. I usually polish my canopies with some rubbung comoound and then put a drop of thr Gloss Coating on them before masking and painting.
