Hey all

  I did some more work on the 4 axle heavy haul Peterbilt 359 heavy haul tractor Cad model. Here are some pictures for you to look at.

That is one LOOONG tractor, up here in BC that would be only on the highways, never up the mountains hauling an excavator or feller-buncher or a Cat..... there would be no where for them to turn that beauty around.... even at that, knowing some of our logging roads and areas our guys haul stuff, I still wonder how they get up the switch backs and get turned..... VERY cool stuff ,Ron, looking forward to the next installment...

  Here are some more pictures showing the latest progress.

  Here is a picture of the Pete 359, 3 axle trailer and  336 excavator.

  Here is a picture of the Pete 359, 4 axle trailer and a ALL NEW! Cat 390FL on it...:omg:

20200907_201341.jpgmy God this thing is HUGE! It doesn't even fit on the 4 axle trailer even with the outriggers out! Guess I have to design a bigger trailer.

  Here are some pictures of the Cat 390FL.

20200907_201433.jpgthis view shows it in the bucket on the ground position. I got this 3D model off of the internet from GrabCad. (Free download) It needs a lot of work to finish it up, it's missing a lot of stuff.

20200907_201453.jpgthis view shows it in the load position, but to actually ship this on my 4 axle trailer you would have to remove the stick and bucket. In this configuration it's 20' 6" from the ground to the highest point of the boom arm and that's a little to tall.

 Here are some pics of the Cat 390FL and the Cat 336 next to each other for comparison.

Hey all 

  Well I went and done it! I think your going to like it. Here it is. It's a Rogers 3 X 3 X 3 drop nose lowboy trailer 70 to 90 ton capacity! I think this will be big enough to haul the Cat 390FL and the D11T!

It would never meet the 13' 6" bridge minimum as it sits.  Neat though.  I read your bit about the order from Papy's.  I just did, I am no hurry but hope it doesn't take a year.  We'll see.  If you are printing stuff are you doing chain binders?

Hey all

  I found this on YouTube. It's a 1/16 scale XL Specialized XL120 drop nose lowboy trailer from Diecast Masters. They are making it for there 1/16 scale RC Freightliner Cascadia truck. I've contacted them via email and they said it is definitely coming out. It will be available in China in October and probably available for pre-order for Christmas 2021. I plan on using this for my 1/16 Monogram Peterbilt 359 and my 1/16 Monogram Kenworth W900L 4 axle Heavy haul (this will be my next build after the Pete)

I'm not sure if this is going to be metal or some sort of plastic, but I'm assuming it will be plastic, as thats what they make their RC models from. I have a Bruder 1/16 scale Cat 336 excavator to put on it for a load.

RMX-2501-2T.jpgthis is the Kenworth W900L model I will be modifying with a stretched frame, 12R/24.5 drive tires, 385R55/22.5 supersingles for the lift axle and 385R65/24.5 front floats. I'll be using the Cat 3408 V8 engine from the kit fully plumbed. Not sure how far I will be going on this, I'll see after I get the Peterbilt done. I will be doing a build thread on this.
