  1. WW1 generally tends to be smaller than the average WW2, with the exception of perhaps the Gotha, FE.2b, Junkers J.1 and Brisfit. I'm building the Pfalz D.IIIa at the moment, and it's a superb kit, with reasonably simple rig. I'd perhaps look at that one
  2. Nice review Dave! Can't wait to see these on your ZM kit.
  3. This was from my pre-impressionist days, before I really learned to plagiarise.
  4. Oh Lord! And I already committed to a D.VII! Absolutely love this one. Probably the best Eindecker I've yet seen.
  5. Looking real good Cees. This is gonna be awesome!
  6. Cheers. These loz are a bitch!
  7. Probably one of my most enjoyable builds so far.
  8. All I got this last few days was this:
  9. Hey Jeroen.....come on, what do I display my Pfalz with?
  10. Superb work! I don't know how he does it. He's always in the stables with a glass of vino! Save me that little cake please.
  11. You can build the kit perfectly well OOB, and you don't need the aftermarket sets. They are there should you wish to choose the etch/brass/resin route for your model. As with any other kit, you would usually buy these as extras. and with the ZM kit, this is no different. What i do think though is the base kit builds up well enough not to need the parts as such, as there is already some serious detail on offer. Here's my ZM He 219 cockpit....built from the box with the exception of the Radu seatbelts I used.
  12. Fantastic! I really can't wait for you to do the scheme
  13. NOW we are talking! I hope you can give us some tips on how you do the wood grain effect, and what you use for the cabling?
  14. If any of you guys are knowledgeable, then feel free to populate this topic with your own information and setup, including photos
  15. Another walkaround? Ok, take a look at these images of Spitfire Mk IXc PV270.
  16. Here is my finished Bf 109E-7 Trop, as seen in THIS build log.
  17. This is the Bf 109E-7 Trop that I build for a North Africa GB in the 'other place' before the great February IT crash. I added some aftermarket to it of course, and the model generally built up very well. Don't believe all you hear about how poor fitting this kit is supposed to be.
  18. Hi Will, I have replied to your other question in the Pfalz topic, but I think this is a good topic to have here, and because of that, I'll PIN it.
  19. There's just something about 1:32 bombers that I love, but a 1:32 early RAF bomber, then that's the ultimate IMHO. Watching for a masterclass in scratch work here
  20. I think I used Microset/Microsol...whichever is the least violent of the two. They didn't need anything apart from an initial application, and the decals conform well to the curves of the gunner cupola ring. I added area that in 4 parts. I think the whole lot took a couple of hours to decal. You have to lay down a base colour, and I post shaded the paint before adding the decals.
  21. You're gonna have to tell me how you did that metal finish. I just don't get on with them. Totally love the finish
  22. Not sure, but isn't that a forced worker tag?
