Than Jim. The MENG kit is great. I have the tamiya one too but this is leagues ahead of it. That said I want do the Tamiya one too so will hang onto it for a later build. J.

Its a nice one Ralph. Not cheap but its all there and no need for aftermarket. Great as a starter J.

Cracking review Jeroen. I'd like to say its a toss up between this and the other one, if only for my wallet, sadly I cant, I want both now J. -
Great review Jim. Now lets see it built. May have to put this on my Xmas list J.

Detolf's are great. Ive had mine a few years and little to no dust, you'd soon know givwn glass shelving too. I built a display cabinet as I realised theyre so damn expensive. Thing is, by the time I built the damn thing and bought all the tools I could have bought a few... Some pics attached of the Detolf's I have and the one I built in my Office. The one I built is on top of some Ikea wall units I bought for figures. J.

LOL Jim. Not even my short field landing skills can get us into my garden in one piece. Believe it or not my now model/toy workshop was one the previous owners 7 year old daughter's full sized Wendy house. I soon took those bloody curtains down A slightly eclectic collection but I intend to have a very long retirement J.

Looking good. Finish looks close too. A mean looking vehicle so love it. J.

Special Hobby 1/32 Buckeye
JaseGill replied to JaseGill's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Final result could be a way off. Work nuts at the moment so spare time is limited right now. Hope to get some more done this weekend. Next challenge is cockpit transparencies and ejector seats J. -
Its a nice kit. Kind of falls together and then its just paint. Will try to get some better pics with my DSLR when I can. J.

Ooh nice. Loving that, great scheme too

Neil was a really nice guy and took all of the ideas really well from everyone that gave it. Me, I cant wait for the Mosquito Fighter. The bomber was gorgeous in the flesh but I love a bunch of guns in the nose After that, well the Lancaster may be too big, that said if there is a Dambusters one I wont be able to resist J.

Hi all, Just started this. Going to do it as a Greek one I hope, just love the scheme and the fact the Greeks seem to never wash their aircraft. I do like em dirty There is a lot of filler, a lot of sanding and quite a bit of undercoat, sand and re-coat on this. Could be a long build though I hope not, I don't want it to stall and have me put it away for a while. I just love the look of the Buckeye. I've got 2 more in 1/48 for Navy schemes but this one has to be Greek J.

Hi all, This is the 1st MENG Bradley kit and I really like it. Goes together really well, loads of detail (I've added a bit) and a great opportunity for some weathering fun. Pics arent great, lighting off but I hope you get the idea. J.

I really want the F4U-1A. Could be my Christmas present from my good lady methinks

Its great to model in and have a "play". My CNC gets more time than the models at the moment but at this time of year I can see me back at the models too
-
Its not great. very good at removing it without damaging it and putting it back on loosely though so not all bad.. As far as tightening it up it doesn't give the same "feel" as the spanner that comes with the Airbrush.
-
I'm going to weather the hell out of that Dozer The blade will be a real challenge to get right Whilst pricey the figures were unmissable. I wanted the 200mm Guy Gibson too but they had sold out... Pick it up next time round methinks, they're at a show in London soon

So, This is my Manlab. Has to double up as modelling playspace and workshop but luckily its about big enough for both. Could be soon though that the Stash takes up so much room I cant fit anything else, or myself, in Its an addiction, but that said the 1st part of the cure is to accept that you have a problem eh J.

So, Telford was a good show on Saturday and I managed to pick some stuff up. Picked up: 1/48 new Airfix Gnat and the BAE Bedford Decals from XtraDecal. 1.32 Metal Undercarriage for the Bukeye. 1/32 Starfighter A/C and Eduard Cockpit set for it. This is going to be a NASA Bird 1/32 Wings Models Spitfire Pilot. 1/32 Wings Models Sergeant Engineer. 1/32 Wings Models WWI Pilot putting on gloves. 1/35 MENG D9R Dozer (wanted this for an age and was a steal at £40. 120mm Mitch's Military Models Cooler King Steve Mcqueen bust. 200mm Mitch's Military Models SAS Iraq 2006 Trooper 200mm Mitch's Military Models Special Forces Soldier Not bad additions to the stash methinks J.

It was a combo of that and the not so great new Iwata nozzle tool (the red one like a barrel). It cant tighten the nozzle enough to get a good seal so I'm back to the spanner that came with it. I knew it was a dodgy seal just after 3 cleans, rebuilds, new nozzle, needle, packing washer and packing seal I was at my wits end All good now, just need to find some time to go "play" with it
