Fixed it. Just in case anyone else has this issue it was a loose nozzle. The new tool I bought doesn't do it up as tight as the old. Doh! Back to the old spanner that comes with the brush.

Is 4pm SIG32 the plan set? I'm driving up (weather too crappy to fly) tomorrow and will stay Midlands with mum tomorrow night, Will be at the show from 10am ish to try to find a few bargains I guess but happy to hang around for a 4pm get together J.

Will this be for sale at Telford? If it is that could be my major purchase (or a ZM Ho229 I wish) at the show... J.

True Layton. Mak Kits are great test beds because lets face it, nothing is wrong. I have a few and a couple more to put up at some time when I can find the pictures. J.

Thanks Layton. I love the look of the Falke and it gave me a chance to go nuts in weathering and chipping so even better

Revell Arado 196
JaseGill replied to JaseGill's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Thanks Spitfire. Its a great kit. I loved it. Worth some simple enhancements, I think I put a bit of Eduard in the cockpit but otherwise all there. Loved every minute of it and would do another anytime if there werent so many other lovely kits around to do. So many kits, so little time. J. -
Tanks may well just be a little too big, even for me Love the Jeep though. J.

I did think about the rail. Maybe when I'm a little less cash strapped I will get it. Glad you like. J. -

I love the L39 and thats a stunning build. Great aircraft and great build. Love it. I'd love one of these of my own. J. -
Hi Erik, Thanks. I will be at SMW on the Saturday (8th). Looking forward to meeting a few folks. LOL Jeroen, I do like a bit of Star Wars. I have the Y Wing, Tie Interceptor, Slave 1 and Darth Vader's TIE Advanced still to do from the Fine Molds range. So sad they have gone from the Star Wars franchise but looking forward (with some reservations) to the upcoming Bandai range. J.

JaseGill replied to JaseGill's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Hi Doogs, I've been admiring your models on Facebook for a while. Great work. I've just added a signature with all of the ongoing builds now. Might be able to put some pics up after the weekend J. -
New Here: Tamiya Spitfire Mk IX
JaseGill replied to JaseGill's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Eric, Thanks. I was told that PV144 wasn't a IXe and was an IXc. Not sure if that's true but wouldn't surprise me. I also got told about the prop, In the end I toned down the aluminium scratching with some very dark grey (to show wear from the black) so its not as per the pics. The Flap Indicators I'm less bothered about and couldn't be bothered to fix at the time I want to add one of the Masterbox WWII Pilots to it at some point maybe even the dog and I'd love a small 1/32 sports car to make a small diorama based on a painting my mum has on her wall which is of Hurricanes. J. -
Thats so good. Love it I didnt know this existed, I love the idea of a large scale small vehicle, it just seems right Very subtle weathering too, love the chipping on the Jerry Cans. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Hi all, As a newbie figured I'd put some of the non-LSM builds I have done up here. Mostly Science Fiction and rather than describe them all if anyone is in the slightest bit interested or want more just drop me a line. J.

Not sure about workshop ones. I have one from Airbrushes.com and its great. Airbrush wise I have an Iwata TR1 so if you like the idea of trigger over the usual double action (and I do) have a look at that too. Good luck in finding your kit. Airbrushing is so much fun. As well as the airbrush though I'd also factor in cost of a decent extractor/spray booth and a respirator, especially if using anything like Alclad. J.

That is great. Thanks very much. Love the approach, the good old fashioned engineering of it and just the sheer skill involved. I've always thought scratching parts to be complicated, this makes it look, whilst obviously not, much easier. Thanks again, J.

Thanks Dave. This'll get use on my WnW Se5a when I get to it. I've seen a few ways of doing it including the amazing Uschi decals but still its good to see it all in one place and with most all of the variations I have read about too. Much appreciated. J.

Hi all, I have an Iwata TR1 Airbrush and after a recent deep clean (dismantle) it pulses. Diffcult to explain but its a fast pulse as if it takes time to build pressure then lets go but in very short fast bursts. On low trigger setting the cup also bubbles. This is with water as I usually use water to test before use. I'm guessing its the nozzle tip as I have changed the needle, the packing screw O-ring and the PTFE washer (which I had as spares in the stash). I am wondering if the Packing Screw is too tight/too loose. Does anyone have any pointers in troubleshooting it? I have ordered a new nozzle tip and nozzle cap just in case. Thanks in advance, J.

I'll be there on the Saturday. If weather is good I will fly to Halfpenny Green in Wolverhampton and stay overnight with family. If weather not so good drive and same plan . J.

Thanks all. Its a great kit Rick, really cant knock it. For the price too its outstanding. J. -
Hi all, I'm back. After the Spitfire I figured I should follow it up. So here is my Arado 196, built just after the Spitfire and if anything I enjoyed this more than the Spitfire. I just love the 196 and wish I could afford, or had the skill to scratch, the launch rail for it. Anyway, its all out of the box except for Eduard straps, instrument panel and some after market seats. I made loops from small diameter wire for the rigging on the floats and rigged it with even skinnier wire. As before hope you enjoy and look forward to constructive criticism.
