  1. It looks very nice, do i see a Kagero decalset on this kit? Subtle weathering... Jan

  3. What some already guessed this post is a aprils fools day joke, i didn't saw any in the most forums so i decided to make my own!! Sorry to all who had hopes for one, i would like one in this scale for sure and nono not a trumpy Best regards, Jan
  4. Revell of Germany anounced a H.P Hampden in 1/32 today. The Shackleton in 1/72 is scrapped and instead of it they release the Hampden half a year sooner and that was scheduled to be released in 2016. It wil be getting a whopping 542 parts, movable gear and flaps. And there wil be a upgrade set to build in sound and electrical engines... The release date wil be around September this year. Pictures are soon to follow. Regards , Jan
  5. I think you mist a spot.... Marvelous really.. Regards, Jan
  6. I love it , go navy!! The finish is so nice and smooth and if this isn't your best i definitely want to see the rest. Regards, Jan
  7. I bought this one before your review and i was really impressed with it, i like it more then the Eduard sets wich aren't bad either. For me only Yahu when possible these panels are so crisp, can't wait to build my second Revell 1/32 Spit with this panel......
  8. When is it going to fly? Just kidding of course but it looks amazing. Best regards, Jan
  9. Thanks again for the compliments, scale modelling is just like learning to ride a bycicle once you got the skills you wil keep them for life. And for Ralph the band is a gray as close as the grey violet because the original band was paited over to delete the one it wore in Italy. The camouflage are humbrol enamels and some old authentics from humbrol and these where about 20 years old at the minimum. The green is a mixture of my own interpretation but is a little off That is why i like enamels, but for the finish i used microscale Klear Flat and that one is non yellowing. For the panel lines i used a simple water paint. So i use al kinds of paints together and it never gave me problems in the past and it still works, most of the time the clue is to let your paint dry long enough and dont spray thick layers and that i learned from some vinyl models i made in the past.(vinyl doesn't like enamels but it can be done with very thin layers and enouch drying time between them) This model took me two and a half month to finish and most of the time was consumed by camouflaging and research. And although i didn't build a model for years, i always kept thinking about modelling and solutions and new projects. When i started again i felt right at my place and it gave me a energy boost . My regards, Jan
  10. It looks very nice , the colors are very realistic... Jan
  11. What a beautiful detail, i can't wait to see the rest of the aircraft where it belongs too.
  12. Thank you guys, i love the looks of this 109 . Revell did a fine job with this one. Dispite a few inacuracies it builds into a nice kit, better than the Spit i think.
  13. Thank you all for the positive comments and likes. @jaseGill i saw that you are doing a Buckey, i bought the Greek version two months ago and i love the looks of this aircraft. But the next one coming of my shelf wil be another 1/32 Spitfire but built as a MkI in a battle of Britain color scheme with black and white undersides.
  14. It looks great, i really love the paint job on this one. Jan
  15. This Spitfire was flown for just three months and was shot down early February 1941 in France, pilot at that moment was Geoffrey Hill. It crashed near St. Omer. I had kept the weathering to a minimum because of it's short flying career. The extra's i added are new Barracudacast 5 spoke wheels and the oilcooler set and a RB productions lovely seatbelt set. A very familiar photograph of this aircraft shows it with a Rotol propellor but there is a picture from this aircraft at the crash site being investigated by german pilots that shows a bent blade from a de Havilland unit. This information can be found on www.aircrewrememdered.com. The models decals are from Revell and i find them a joy to work with. Best regards, Jan
  16. This 109 is build straight oob and the only thing i have altered are the Beule or the bulges for the guns at the top of the fuselage. Paint scheme is not an exact copy of the original aircraft because there aren't a lot of photographs of this particular aircraft.... This aircraft was the mount of Karl Rammelt. It was also my first model finished in 12 years,so the mojo is back again. Also this kit was a pleasure to built. My regards, Jan
