Somebody trying to tell me something?
PAnderson replied to Willy's topic in Problems? Suggestions? Tell us!
But why do some people have that on their profile and some not. I understand the demerit part well enough. I think willy was asking why only a few? -

I have that too Willy. I never bothered to ask why. But yeah, Why? Paul Edit: Oops, a little late. Meaning? -
Dave, I am sure Cabella's will ship anywhere. It is a very well known sporting goods chain. They had a 6 spool assortment for $9.99 Cabella's/Ultra Wire I also found it on Ebay starting at 1.99/spool Paul

Ninetalis, I am holding a spool in my hand. It is metal wire .012/.3mm in diameter. I have no idea how they color it. But I twisted it, folded it and it seems pretty strong to me. I guess it's primary use is for fly tying. I will be using it to wire up my Me 262's front office and gun bay. I will post pics. Paul

I found this online and bought an assorted color pack from Cabella's. The medium is .012/.3mm and the fine is probably half that. I think this would be great for wiring purposes. I got Black, Yellow, Green, Gold, Red, Magenta for $10.00.

1/16 F-16 Cockpit from Italeri
PAnderson replied to PAnderson's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Thanks James. I had to double check, it was Italeri but the scale is actually 1/12. My bad. I f I am not mistaken, it got passed around from Esci, AMT, then Italeri. There is also an F-104 Starfighter cockpit too. I wish there were more front offices like this. Paul -
Another I did a while back. Tamiya's A6M2b Zero. As far as a quality build goes, this kit was a foretelling of things to come. I hope you like her. The antenna got broke off during my move to Jersey.

Anybody have knowledge about neutron bombs?
PAnderson replied to Alesia's topic in General Discussion
As far as I know, neutron bombs kill people and leave infrastructure relatively intact. But that is a relative term. From Wikipedia: Neutron bombs are purposely designed with explosive yields lower than other nuclear weapons.[citation needed] Since neutrons are absorbed by air,[citation needed] even a high-yield neutron bomb is not able to radiate neutrons beyond its blast range and so would theoretically have no destructive advantage over a normal hydrogen bomb. However, the intense pulse of high-energy neutrons that is generated is intended as the principal killing mechanism, not the fallout, heat or blast. Although neutron bombs are commonly believed to "leave the infrastructure intact", current designs have explosive yields in the kiloton range,[20] the detonation of which would cause considerable destruction through blast and heat effects. Neutron bombs could be used as strategic anti-ballistic missile weapons or as tactical weapons intended for use against armored forces.[citation needed] The neutron bomb was originally conceived by the U.S. military as a weapon that could stop massed Soviet armored divisions from overrunning allied nations without destroying the infrastructure of the allied nation.[21] Paul -

For anyone building the Me 262 here is a cool video on YouTube of close up shots all around the engine. This might help detailing your engine. Paul

1/32 Wingnut Wings D.H.9a in US Marine colors.
PAnderson replied to PAnderson's topic in Foreign Colours
Thanks All, It was a refreshing change of pace from WW2 subjects. Really love this WW1 stuff now. And I am really looking forward to the Great War GB. Haven't picked my subjects yet but since we have over a year to decide............what will it be? Jeroen, yes it was EZ-Line. Nice stuff to work with but expensive. Paul -
Thanks Jeroen, They were in my spam folder. Never thought to look there. But since all is well, it doesn't matter. So, yeah, watch your spam folder everyone. Paul

Here is my finished D.H.9a in US Marine colors. A plane from this unit received the first US Marine Medal of Honor. Here she is. I am not quite happy with the outcome of the colors, a tad too yellow in my opinion. But there is no going back. I almost wish I had stayed with the kit colors.. She is built out of box other than the Bob's Buckles for the rigging. Oh yeah, the rigging...............................................LOL. This was many firsts for me. First WW1, first biplane, hence my first rigging job. Oh yeah, the rigging......................................... The picture I went by. Here she is as built. So, I hope you like her. Some disappointments but overall a really god experience.

I see the section for the ship GB. Is this still a go considering the new path this forum is going down? I think ships should be an integral part of a Large Scale Modeller forum. They are the biggest models out there. I am a ship builder and would love to have the forum be a place to build and discuss those kits we choose to build. Is aircraft and armor the only subjects to be allowed here? Regards, Paul

Nope, no problems but since there is a need for confirmation, I presume, you might want to check that out. Let's keep the spammers out, LOL.

I have not received my confirmation email and it has been over an hour. Maybe that many people are signing up but can someone check this out? Regards, Paul
