  9. Hello my friends!! Little progress for this time!! I replaced the A19 piece of Wingnut Wings with mine (self made) as you can see at the photo from Mark Miler's profile of Albatros!!... More at http://wwi-cookup.com/albatros/dva/profiles_markmiller_cockpit.html Here is my progress: Corrections and new updates are coming soon!!! Stay tuned!!!
  10. Thank you very much Jeroen!!! I'm going to check Profi Modeller's stencils !!
  11. For painting, I used H 332 for lower surfaces. For the upper surfaces, I used H 335 and H 331. Stripes are calculated for 19,5mm (for this scale) and painted with H11 and H12. Next update, after I 'll have applied decals!!! Stay tuned my friends!!
  12. Here we have to prepare the wings. Wings are given “ready” with all the surfaces “in a single piece” and the modeler has to assemble the ailerons, flaps and the wingtips (HK gives 2 types, the earlier with 2 lights configured and the later with 1 light configured). The fit is pretty good!! About the weapons, there are two choices: The “cookie bomb” of 4000 lb, or 4 standard RAF bombs of 500 lb each other. Fuel tanks which included in bomb bay have to be painted carefully, slide and “lock” in the middle of the wings! The fuselage can be combined with the wings, by a simple pushing and one ”click”. The nacelles are “locked” on the wings by simple pushing! One more negative point for this model is that HK hasn’t drilled holes at the lower surface of the wings, for the external tanks, so the modeler has to calculate it. Next update is ready!!! !!! Stay tuned my friends!!!
  13. Here, we have the building of the engines and mounting them on the nacelles. The Mosquito Mk IV was fitted with Merlin 21 engines. HK’s engines of the model, are medium detailed comparing with the counterpart of Tamiya’s. There is only the general shape of the engines which is the base for a further detailing result to an expert modeler! Another serious omission is the coolant tank and the exhaust stubs, need to be drilled! Here are some photos and informations about Merlin of Mosquito. http://www.globalaviationresource.com/v2/2013/12/10/news-de-havilland-mosquito-b-35-vr796-cf-hml-restoration/ http://www.docbrown.info/docspics/yorkscenes/yspage27.htm http://wwiimodeller.co.nz/walkaround-supermarine-spitfire-mk-xvie-engine/supermarine-spitfire-mk-xvie-rolls-royce-merlin-engine-21/ New update is coming very soon...stay tuned!!!
