  1. HA! I was thinking about a Counter-Invader. The gun nose version would be an easier conversion, but this will do...
  2. This is a picture from the Trumpeter table at All Japan Model and Hobby show 2019. This should officially confirm that Trumpeter is bringing us an A-26 Invader in 1/32 scale.
  3. USPS to South Africa is forever. I received a small box from SA and I had considered it lost. It showed up a year later. It took 7 months from postmark to delivery for a box to Australia one time. I’ve had one box to NZ make it in 10 days. Martin once sent me an envelope from the Vancouver area and from postmark to delivery it was 10 months. No joke. UPS or Fedex for me from now on I think But their brokerage fees are stupid
  4. Agreed. I’d think the latter. Unless Hannants delivers to the desert?
  5. And look at the two in the background. One is all laid down and flat, and the other one standing up straight has no pointy thing sticking out in front!
  6. Tony, just use Apoxie Sculpt over the glass, then sand, carve, and whittle it to shape.
  7. hehehehehe. me like boobies. I actually love boobies. Look, see? All stand up straight and perky
  8. Honestly, so far it's been an absolute pleasure to build. there are no locator pins so make sure you look ahead or have a reference available, but as of now it's given me zero issues. Like a resin kit, test fit, test fit, test fit.
  9. Now why do I think that the seat should not have a gaping hole in the bottom of it....
  10. So maybe the same as the front turret on my Lanc. Sheeted over
  11. Well, YES! But I was thinking if HPH brings out their 1/48 version, it might be perfect.
  12. Tony, did you ever find out if they just sheeted over the standard RCN greenhouse, or is it an entire new rear section?
  13. I need to get some etching primer. I’m fresh out, so I concentrate on other important things.
  14. Haha. No, this will be a future project. This is one of the few jets I actually love the looks of. So crazy Cold War.
  15. Notice the Mk.X fuselage doublers below where the Martin turret used to be.
  16. Close, but not quite yet. This is much cooler. And civilian as well. Orenda Jet Engines testbed. This is how the Orenda engines for the Canadian Sabres and CF-100s were flight tested
  17. A nose cone and tail one for any upcoming large scale 4 build. Any guesses?
  18. Carl, that IS cool. But like Mark said, it’s not a tough conversion and I can make a plug and pull it myself as well as anyone else. I’m just lazy, that’s all Sho ‘nuff is ugly, though. Although they all weren’t quite as wild as these.
  19. Tony, this is AWESOME, and I'm glad you're doing it. You'll clobber this one out of the park. One thing to think about. Regarding the RCN turtledeck modifications. There are ZERO conversions out there, so if you are thinking of developing one, consider working with someone to make it available commercially. Much like the RCAF Lanc, there's plenty of takers out there assuming the special bits are available. I was and still am considering the iconic RCN sub hunters of the 50's for my Avenger of choice. These aircraft had service lives far, far beyond what Grumman or the Navy had dreamed even in their wildest dreams. Like a DC-3, the Avenger found it's niche and the only replacement for an Avenger was another Avenger. Slow, uncomfortable, ugly, and noisy, but it'd carry anything you could load into it, and do it again and again and again and again. If it just had one more engine it would have been the perfect firebomber.
  20. Carl, it's looking great. I've always called Kitty hawk kits "thinking man's" kits. You definitely need to stop and determine which way to proceed, but once you do, it assembles great. You're knocking this one out of the park, man. I'm LOVING IT!
  21. I’m in for two if and when they’re available. What a difference
