  1. It’s awesome to be here, Cees, without a doubt. Old habits died hard.
  2. Yup. Thanks y’all. Peter, it’s been a slog, eh? There’s been a decided lack of hangar flying 8n my life lately, and everyt8me I try to actually do some real flying, life gets in the way it seems. Went to Phoenix of course with a bunch from the old place, and I won’t deny I had a great time. Didn’t do Pima, was still in transit, but not sure I would have gone anyway. 5 hours in the Arizona sun doesn’t sound much like fun. And all through the last three months, my business partner decided to retire, so I’ve been running around trying to buy him out. What a life.. LOL I’m gonna get going on the big HPH Catalina. Ernie Gee gave me a commitment on doing the gear in brass if I get him the originals, so,I’m gonna ship them to him now. That’s always been my biggest beef with that kit. The gear, despite having some steel rod internals, is still just resin, and I’m not sure it’ll handle a 6 lb model
  3. Dang man! Wow. Brian and I seemed to be in the bar alot, huh? Brian and I left and right away I got dragged back in, talking to someone, and ended up sitting and talking to Richard Alexander for an hour or two. He seemed like a decent bloke and we talked about everything but models. refreshing! Boy did I get Martin drunk on Thursday night. The guy was truly wasted. What a friend I am.. lol
  4. Nice start on this. It’s a great kit!
  5. Good Lord that’s bloody gorgeous!
  6. Yup, awesome pics Mike. I think I walked right buy a bunch of you guys and I never once realized it.
  7. Like several others, I’ve come here from the other side, just looking to stay around friends, build models, and have a few laughs doing it.
  8. Was a darn good time! We had us a rip roaring party and plenty of cheap Scotch, vodka, and other swill was consumed.
  9. Hey buddy!!!!
  10. I think what we need to do is get on here and burn up the internet like we did on the other side. We had what I thought of as a FAMILY over there. It got blown up. Over silliness. No I’ll feelings here. It’s not my property, but dangit, I thought we really had something special. I hope we can bring it here
  11. Howdy Phil! It’s great to see you here and great to be amongst friends, man!
  12. Yup. I’ve got friends I made there and I like them around. John and Peter are good people.
  13. Welcome, John. I came back here a week or so ago as well, just for a change of scenery and to keep up with some friends who moved here. I’ll be posting some stuff as well. I’m looking forward to continuing my PBJ-1H build.
  14. Jeroen, that bomb rack looks amazing!
  15. I just saw this for the first time, and just bloody amazing!
  16. Wow Jeroen, your PE work is outstanding and inspiring. And I was complaining about the PE needed in a B-25! Now here you are doing 10x the work, and in quarter scale no less! Hats off, Jeroen, hats off! The Wimpy has a very special place in my heart. My ex Father in Law was an RCAF Lancaster tailgunner, but he trained in and flew his first several Ops in the Wellington before converting to Lancs. He had much fonder memories for the Wellington than the Lanc, and often told me that it was a very good thing the Lanc had four engines because with only two, they’d have done plenty of walking. this is a subject we sorely need in 1/32
  17. Very, very nice of a cool and unusual subject.
  18. Here's a generic question for the WW1 experts... Does anyone know the color these should be?
