Today is the first day of unemployment in 18 years.

Carl, that's what you call "lifestyle planning", and most of us here can do it. It seems to be something totally lost on some in our younger generations, unfortunately, who seem to want everything NOW. -
Oh how I'm waiting with baited breath for the B-47

Mark, with your resume I expect you'll be working within a week or two. I was unemployed for a few weeks after I quit flying and it was a serious culture shock. but I got over it. Take a few days and collect your thoughts. They're still paying you, so chill for this short week, my friend. Tackle the resume and a job search starting next Monday. -

For us, a long weekend in Oklahoma as we do twice a year and a trip to our favorite fly in catfish restaurant. But we drove this time.

Ryan, stay safe down there. Batten down the hatches because it looks like the Big Blow’s coming your way. It’s gonna be a bad one it appears.

I’ve never really gotten into hardcore punk, but I get it. D.O.A. Is legendary.

Smitty, you da man! But real Canadians listened to... the best Knapp of the earth flying song ever. The best Canadian band EVER. A very distant second would be Bachman Turner Overdose...

Nuke ‘em till they glow! or Semtex. Semtex is good. Very good. A little makes a large hole. Another good, useful, and lasting gift from our friends in Czechoslovakia.

Has any one built a WNW DH2?
Clunkmeister replied to Grunhertz's topic in WW1 related items and accessories
I just saw this and as it’s almost a year old, I’ll just put my thoughts on record. The kit builds up nicely. Bob’s Buckles had a great rigging diagram online, and I encourage you to seek it out. The kit builds like a typical WNW kit. Beautifully. The front and rear halves are built separately then joined after rigging each. If you follow the logical rigging diagrams, you’ll have no issues. Bobs Buckles are great, I use their eyelets in every build. I feel gaspatch 1/32 turnbuckles are often oversized, and I use 1/48 turnbuckles now, especially in control line runs. Manyhere disagree with me on this, but I use Mono line for wing rigging, and EZ Line for control runs. I like the strength given by mono line. -
Interesting pic on Copper State Page.

The operative word for me is “one”. I certainly won’t be building or buying more than that. -

Most of the original Canadian purchase are pretty much used up by now. 30 years of NORAD alert duty and combat ops in Sand Land have pretty much wore them out.

Let’s just hope WNW follows up on the Dambusters/Barnes Wallis theme and gives us that Wellington. It would certainly be a logical next step, assuming that there's anything really logical about large two and four engine bomers in 1/32..... Personally, I love the HK Lanc, but for different reasons. Unintentionally I expect, it’s about 95% postwar already. As in metal clad elevators, certain cockpit details, etc. Yes it’s got it’s warts, but it’s decent and a fun build. It remains to be seen with WNW, but I’ll build one up OOB as soon as it hits. You on the F-111 is like me on a two seat Voodoo. I’d be in delirious delight. Same with a GOOD modern short nose 190. As you can see, posting pics here is simplicity in itself. As for me, I grabbed the F-18 from Carl. Shipping was much cheaper to Tx. I smell an RCAF B model coming. Plus, I’ve been on a book binge lately. With Martin on hiatus, I’ll now need to learn to do my own research.
