  1. Hubert, that is truly stunning. I have that kit somewhere and this simply proves that I really need to build and display it. GORGEOUS model of a truly beautiful airplane. Uuuh, turns out mine is the Kinner radial powered version, but that’s OK. It’ll still look good although not quite as classic as the STM.

    TOILET BOMBER!

ZM Skyraider in its iconic scheme. This was my very first Large Scale build after I returned from a 30 year modeling hiatus. Yes, it has its hiccups and bumps, especially in the weathering department, but I actually want to revisit that part of it and dirty up the bottom a bit. Maybe I’ll show it on the display only table in San Marcos this year.
  3. With every bit of aftermarket known to man. I’ll get it blown off and taken outside for more pictures soon enough. This was a tough, but fun and very rewarding build.
  4. A few T-28s from the great Kitty Hawk kit. The yellow C was a pre production kit built to spec for Kitty Hawk. The B was built OON The D-5 was built from the B kit using AMS resin seats, wheels, armament, armor plate, gunsight, and cockpit additions.
  5. ZM Ta-152H with a Henri Dahne prop and a Hasegawa Bf-109F with Eagle Editions prop and decals.
  6. Yessir, and if, in fact, the short shot is out there on others, it's an easy fix
  7. Great progress, Bill. While looking at your instrument panel close up, and assuming that the red and black instruments are the artificial horizons, his gyros have both tumbled, so he's gonna need to stay VFR while out doing his nefarious deeds. If a Wildcat chases him into a cloud, may be he'll come out the bottim of that cloud in a screaming death spiral, missing the outboard wing panels. Another Wildcat victory without wasting a round. Of course, the HSI's are probably vacuum operated, not electric, so no such luck.
  8. One thing I've toyed with is figuring something out for people to easily create a quick photo anthology of their build, without having to go back and prune 10,000 comments and conversations out of your build log. I'm thinking that it could be like a digital picture flip book. You know, sort of like the children's word picture books I read. That might allow someone to be able to quickly see the progression without dealing with the back and forth banter that often occurs. When IPMS Canada approached me about writing a big feature on my Lanc, a few hours of dealing with being a picture hunter gatherer convinced me I'm NOT going to be a magazine writer. I'm good with the prose, but anything else? Nope.
  9. Rob, that is one amazing build! I remember seeing that come together, and remember being blown away by it! I still am. Very, very nice build of a really obscure little race plane.
  10. Finished model pics can be directly uploaded from your computer to the gallery. Choose the appropriate gallery and start a folder on your build. This will allow YOU to post YOUR builds up on the moving gallery, instead of us having to ask permission, etc. ****. By posting pics to the gallery, we may, at at any time, cross post selected pics to our Facebook page. Credit will be given to your screen name unless you wish your real name to be used. **** The gallery is for COMPLETED builds only. Please keep your WIP pics to the appropriate build log. Thank You!
