I have ONLY just seen this blooming thread. So here is MY best effort of posting MY VERY FIRST EVER Photograph on ANY Forum. This was taken by Radub at PIMA when We all took a coach there. I was wondering around outside drooling over the aircrafts when Radub came by and asked if I wanted him to take MY picture.. I said thank you sir. Then We introduced ourselves.. So MY late Father was stationed in Pune (Puna or Poona ) and when I went to Pune to visit MY father's friend , I saw this dilapidated aircraft as your link photos show but did not know the history behind it. MY Father's friend still lives in Pune and keeps "tabs " on aircrafts that were used in India 🇮🇳. (and those he flew). So when discovered where this " Most beautiful but quite a neglected aircraft " (In his best English and Hindi ) was taken and discovered it was restored. "C" Sahib is one happy Happy Retired Indian Air Force gentleman !! Splendid restoration work. In MY lifetime to see it fly here after it was used and flown in India is really lovely.. Thanks Panzerwomble You've made one Indian person very happy with that link of yours about its history. : .

MY friend sent ME this YouTube video to have a peek at it. STUNNING restoration and beautiful to see. Yesterday afternoon, a very special aircraft flew for the first time after a 34 year restoration. Hawker Tempest Mk.II MW763, registered as G-TEMT and painted as PR533 of 33 Squadron took to the skies at Sywell Aerodrome in Northamptonshire. Experienced warbird pilot Pete Kynsey was at the controls for this historic flight and took her straight to her new home at IWM Duxford. Huge congratulations to everyone involved, especially those at Air Leasing at Sywell who have put so much effort and time into this unique aircraft to get her back in the sky. This is the Mark II variant of the Hawker Tempest, the only Mark to be fitted with a Bristol Centaurus engine. Six marks were designed, each with a different engine including the Napier Sabre (as used on the Hawker Typhoon), Rolls-Royce Griffon and the Centaurus. The Mk.II entered service too late to see action in World War II.

Cupcake, I know you told ME in the first instance on that very first phone call to ME about how bad Harvey was and now that you have informed everybody on here, Insha-Allah MY prayers and Duas together with these lovely gentlemen ; Harvey will Insha-Allah get well soon. I am very hopeful and thankful that the best treatment he will receive in Tennessee will get him back to his usual self. Harvey needs lots and lots positivity from us all to get him well very soon.... Harvey is tough and his long haul progress will see him come through ... he's a fighter and I am sure he is in the correct/right place for the very best medical treatment experts can give him. Does he need anything else from us by way of say crownfunding for his treatment.Apart from prayers and good positive thoughts and best wishes. If you start one, I'll donate so he can get his treatment and not worry. Hello Martin Just had a call literally a few seconds ago from Cupcake to tell ME the serious bad news. I love Harvey (and you guys) and this is terribly horrible news... I am heartbroken for Harvey. He and his family have MY prayers. I think as you said Cupcake will update later. He had to finish the call with ME as he'd arrived at the Hospital.

The pilot was Dan Filer who is Pete Fleischmann's friend and owner of several fighter jets including a MiG-23. Both the Pilot and passenger ejected safely.
