  1. Agreed Ernie. The F-84 had lots of attractive schemes but it seems kit and decal folks concentrate on the Korean war markings. Thats understandable but it's nice to do something a bit different. I chose to do schemes that were out of the "usual" for both my '84's. I had some custom masks made for my "G" using the Tamiya 1/48 scheme as a guide.
  2. Thanks Dennis. I agree. A re-do can make a older build look better for sure. And it's easier than building a whole new kit.
  3. Thanks Ernie. I doubt it was a new a/c. I just decided not to dirty it up other than the exhausts stains.
  4. Thanks Peter. I think the patches look just fine. Shows some "use"!
  5. I like this scheme a bit more than the old one but, somehow, I'm just not turned on my it. Go figure. Just one of those things. Still, I do like it's looks with all the red bullet hole patches! Remember to click on the images for best resolution. 😉
  6. Finished. Check completed works.
  7. Those are some good guns to have Scott. It took me a good while to finally snag a Luger but I did finally get one a couple of years ago.
  8. I appreciate that, thanks!
  9. Hi Paul, I use a old Paasche H airbrush I've had for over 20 years or more. The nozzle # has rubbed off over the rears but all their nozzles are adjustable. The H brushes are sort of the "standard" brush but they also have a "F" which is a bit smaller and is for very fine work. However, I hardly ever use it and I get the wanted results from my "H". I don't know how much help this is but there it is. Good luck!!! John
  10. Thanks Peter. Coming along with the decals although I had to replace the serial numbers with some from my stash. The Techmod numbers were a bit over size. Not a big deal though.
  11. Making good progress. Decaling should be completed soon then it'll need overspraying with clear flat.
  12. A friend of mine had one and I got to shoot it. Fun to shoot!
  13. Too rich for my blood at this point. Sure would be nice to snag one though.
  14. I agree Gaz.
  15. I've been wanting a Carbine, M1 or M2, but haven't found one I could afford. (Actually I haven't look in a while as I was spending too much $$$ on all that stuff!)
  16. Unfortunately no Gaz. It was re-barreled at some point.
  17. LOL
  18. Here's my Luger. Remember to click on the pics for best resolution.
  19. Thanks Gaz. More coming. I've read Blood Red Snow and yes, it's a good read. Have you read Seven Days In January? Another good one.
  20. Thanks! I'm pleased to have one!
  21. 1944. And one heavy SOB too!
  22. That is sad. I suppose my 2 sons will inherit my stuff if they want it. I'm pretty sure my oldest will.
  23. I figure some of you would like to see some of my collection of military stuff. So, here 'tis just for grins. First up is my German MG42. A before and after pic. To be legal it's changed over from full auto to semi-auto. I got it in pieces as you can see. I had to get some after market stuff to complete it. Click on the photos for best resolution. Check back from time to time as I will post more as we go along.
