  1. Yes and I HAD to go on and order one although I have a very nice, built, 1/48 Classic Airframes example.
  2. I'm just glad to have finally reached this stage!
  3. FINALLY got some paint on this build. Not a lot but, as I always told my sons, some is better than none!
  4. As much as I love this hobby sometimes it can sure be a PITA!
  5. Thanks Peter. I wondered if I was ever going to finally get to this point!
  6. Should be a good looking model in NMF.
  7. Thanks Peter. Now maybe I can get some painting done!
  8. Yes indeed Gaz. This certainly had it's moments!
  9. Got 'em sorted out. Not pretty but all that won't be visible anyway. I still need to add the exhausts to the one.
  10. Hang in there Peter. It's a bear to build but you'll have a nice looking P-39 in the end.
  11. I figured it would be best to insert the engines and attach the cowl flaps and exhausts before painting. As you can see I screwed the pooch on those. Right now I'm setting 'em aside and will come back later when I'm ready for more aggravation.
  12. Thanks. Neat looking airplane.
  13. NOW it's time for some paint.
  14. Thank ya, thank ya very much!
  15. Engines finished. I'm not going to add ignition wires, too small and fiddly.
  16. One method I have found that works well is water soluble Vallejo Plastic Putty. Just squeeze a bit along the seam you want to fill then wipe off the excess with a wet Q-tip. Comes in very handy and negates the need for sanding, etc.
  17. LOL Not quite ready for paint. I still need to do the engines and landing gear. But soon!
  18. Must of had the "A" team on part and the "B" team on others.
  19. Although I'm not quite finished with this kit I want to list some things that (in my own humble opinion) it needs. 1. A detailed and more accurate cockpit interior. 2. Replacement props (I'm using some Monogram props which are much more accurate). 3. Replacement wheels (I'm using a True Details resin set. Again much more accurate). 4. Replace the guns with Master Model brass guns (I just ordered some for the B-17 which should be okay). That's all I can think of right now. I will say though the kit can be built OOB and will look good. Just not as accurate as it should/could be.
  20. Just about there Peter.
  21. Thanks Peter. I feel like it will hold okay.
  22. Coming right along now.
