Thanks Ernie! I'm please that you like it. -
All done with this one. Not a bad kit but it does have some inaccuracies. I replaced the tires with resin True Details tires, the props I replaced with some Monogram props, the complete cockpit was replaced with a Monogram cockpit with added Eduard PE details. I also replaced the seat with one from my stash. I decided to dress it up some with the yellow pad and the US Army Air Forces decal which I re-scaled from a 1/32 Barracudacal. I replaced all the guns. Some are brass and some are hollow plastic rod to represent the blast tubes on these a/c. Exterior paint is all Alclad except for the anti glare areas which are MM OD and the exhaust stains which are a couple of different shades of MM. Decals are from the kit except for the national insignias which are Aeromaster. The build DID have it's moments but now it's all done and ready for your perusal. I hope y'all like it!

All done. Check completed works.

Thanks Mark. I'm just about finished with the model and should have some photos posted soon.

Thanks Peter. I tried the black at one time and really didn't see any difference between it and the gray.

I assume you are referring to the NMF. No, I just lay on a primer of Alclad Gray Primer and Microfiller. Works for me.

As said before it will be a gem! I look forward to seeing the finished model. -
These particular a/c all had heavy exhaust staining which should look good on the model. I left the cowlings off so I could do that.

Painting done! Now it's time to add the extensive exhaust stains. (I had to put the walkway and fuel marking on before doing any staining. On the real a/c, they covered those in places.)

LOL Martin. (Glad to see someone can spell shiny correctly!)

So far so good! Thanks.

LOL I'm glad you like it Peter. Thanks!

Thanks Carl. Yes, really slim. I've always liked that a/c.

I'll post a couple of pics later today. The unfortunate thing about that particular a/c is it was only used by 2 squadrons which limits the choice of markings.
