Turned out about the same so I'll stay with the 1st one.

Thanks. I'm going to do another prop and use chrome silver instead of the Alclad aluminum since the real one was chrome. We'll see how it turns out.

Revell kit and Draw decals. Pretty much OOB except FineMolds belts and racer mods. Just getting started. Stay tuned.

LOL I'm glad I checked this before proceeding with more work.

I decided to test fit the vac canopies before going any furthur. I'm glad I did because, as you can see, they are too wide and a bit too long. I don't know how I'd correct that so I'm going to put this one on the SOD. 😕

So far this is the only really poor fitting area although some others don't fit all that well either. I've done some work on it to try to fix it and it looks like it might be okay. Dremel and white putty LOL.

Test fitting the cowlings. NOT good. This area is the worst fitting so far. Possible SOD candidate but not just yet.

Fuselage joined up. Quite a bit of sanding and puttying needed.

Thanks Peter. I really like the kit (except for the very fiddly landing gear and wheel well stuff). I might decide to do another in the Atlantic gray/white scheme. Would fit right in.

I've had this kit for a good while and I feel it's about time to build it (or at least give it a try LOL). I think it's a cool looking airplane and it's a shame it wasn't put into production.

Finished with this one. Nice kit with not many "headaches". Those being the fiddly bits that make up the landing gear and wheel well details. I decided to do two of these, one in overall GSB and the other in tri-color. This one is painted with Mr. Color and Testor's MM. Decals are from a Aeromaster sheet. I hope you like it.

Aside from a little touch up painting is done. Next I'll spray some clear gloss and then start decaling. When that's all done I'll spray it with some clear flat and do some exhaust stains, etc.

Thanks Peter. I've started painting already and am using acrylics (Mr. Color and Tamiya). I think they are good paints plus they dry faster than enamels. Stay tuned.

More progress.

I see there have been 77 views on this as of today, the 15th, but not a single post aside from Peter's. I have to say that's concerning and disappointing. Makes me wonder if it's worth the effort. 🙄
