  1. Thanks! Takes a good bit of trimming, puttying, and sanding but a very possible "conversion". If I had another doner "D", preferrably Revell, I'd likely do another one.
  2. Thanks Martin. I appreciate it.
  3. Getting close to the finish line.
  4. Actually Peter tomorrow (Sunday) is the day unless I get on a roll later today (Saturday).
  5. Decaling completed. Exhaust stains and some weathering next.
  6. LOL More likely Sunday but we'll see.
  7. Thanks Peter. The build is going well. I'm starting on the decaling today so it shouldn't be long before it's finished.
  8. Been working on this one for a few days and decided I'd go on and post some pictures. Painting about done except for some touchup. Decaling next then weathering, etc.
  9. Thanks Chris. I'm glad you like the results of my "labors". LOL
  10. Thank you Jeff! I'm pleased that you like it.
  11. Looks to be coming along fine Peter.
  12. Thank you Peter. I think this build will wrap up the FM-2 builds for me.
  13. All done with this build. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19836-eduard-148-fm-2-build-3-rfi/
  14. These little Wildcats are nice kits and build up without too many headaches (except for the engine mounts and landing gear). No after market stuff on this one, all OOB including the decals. Painted with Tamiya flat white, Testor's MM Intermediate Blue, and Colourcoats Sea Blue. Oversprayed with Alclad clear flat.
  15. Coming right along.
  16. I've always liked the FM-2's and was pleased when Eduard issued the kit. It does justice to the real a/c as it's a nicely detailed, etc kit.
  17. Thank you Peter. Just coming along with it. Don't rush yourself as that's when you get in a fix! LOL
  18. Good progress today. Now to begin assembling the engine and landing gear parts. The landing gear parts, I remember from my 2 previous builds, are very fiddly with possible high cuss factors! 🤪
  19. Started my 3rd build on a 1/48 Eduard FM-2 Wildercat. VERY nice kit and a enjoyable build.
  20. This would have been my 2nd one of these and I do not remember having so many problems with the 1st one. Go figure.
  21. Too many fit issues and associated head aches. I'm not going to waste any more time on this SOB as there are other kits I can ENJOY building. This unfortunately is NOT one of them. 😠
  22. Sounds good Jeff. Should be a good looking build.
  23. Another one that I had set aside a while back. I decided to go on and resume working on it since I was well along on the cockpit section and some other areas. Had some real problems on the first gear assembly as you can see. Called for a lot of "fixing" but I think it's usable now. I plan to finish this one as P3*C with the bulged bomb bay.
  24. A good start Peter. Gonna be a beauty!
  25. Thanks Peter. I am too as I think it turned out very well. Thanks again.
