  1. Time to get started with painting. Azure blue undersides.
  2. Thank you Dennis. It's possible it is the best 1/32 Hurricane yet. Good fit and a easy build.
  3. Thanks Scott. I was pleasantly surprised with the fit, etc since the '51's are such a PITA. Someone must have gotten their act together!
  4. Thanks Carl. The Fly kit I built was a real SOB. I said then and there no more Fly kits. LOL
  5. All done. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19604-revell-hurricane-iib-done/
  6. RFI guys. For once a 1/32 Revell kit had good fit! I'm very pleased as the P-51's have a lot of fit problems and I was anticipating some with this build but, I'm pleased to say, there were hardly any problems. I used Xtradecals and Xtracolor paint on this build with a over spray of Alclad clear flat. I hope you like it.
  7. It's a very nice kit Carl and I'm sure you will enjoy the build. I built mine using the folded wings.
  8. Looking good! I know it will be a beauty when done.
  9. LOL Kevin. I know what you mean. I've run out of room and am boxing models up and storing them in a closet. Better than letting them sit out and gather dust. 🙄
  10. Thank you Peter. I plan to start decaling this morning.
  11. Take a peek at these photos and compare. The difference doesn't jump out at you but if you look close you can see there is a little difference. Not a LOT but enough. At least enough that I can see it. Maybe the "L" will look okay after painting the camo and attaching the prop/spinner and exhausts. We will see! 🙃
  12. Thanks Peter. I don't think the Trumpeter nose section looks quite "right". A bit too "bulbous" but there's nothing I can do about that. It should be a little "flatter" on the sides. I'll post a couple of shots of it sitting next to one of my "F" builds using the Grey Matter nose and we'll see how they compare.
  13. Some good progress on this one today. Lots of filling and sanding. Better than I thought it might look even though there are several areas that need a bit more attention.
  14. I don't think that's a good bet since I intend to slow down and build some models that take more time such as a HK 1/48 B-17G, etc. I'm just turning out way too many builds but, like I always say, I want to stay busy. We'll see........
  15. LOL Peter. A good many for sure but not 40 plus. 19 at last count. I need to slow down as I've run out of room! I've started boxing some of them up and storing them in a closet to keep from setting them out to get dusty, etc.
  16. Agreed Gaz. I hope I can manage to get it "presentable" but we will see. 🙄
  17. Thanks Gaz. This one is a easy build with no big problems.
  18. I figured that problem might be there before I started but decided to go on and give it a shot. Not impossible to fix but certainly not a easy thing to do.
  19. Not bad Peter, not bad at all. It even LOOKS like a P-38!!!!🙃
  20. Agreed but certainly not a walk in the park. I haven't yet addressed the problem with the contour mismatch but I guess I'll get to it when I have a pause in the Hurricane build. Not particularly looking forward to it as it looks to have a bit of cuss factor involved. 🙄
  21. Day three and well along with it. The canopy is taped in place to protect the protruding gunsight.
