  1. Nice thought Peter but a bit too late for that.
  2. Ready for painting.
  3. Thanks. Darn near ready for paint! Going a lot faster than I expected it would so I might set it aside for a bit and resume working on the FM-2 since it's ready for decaling.
  4. Thanks Kevin. So far so good.
  5. Thanks Carl. I agree, that tail section join line was a real PITA. I did the best I could but I think it will still show some. I'll live with it. This is such a easy kit to build (everything FITS except for the tail section) it should go fast. One of these days I'll have to start on something that will take a good while to build I guess LOL.
  6. As usual the fit is excellent.
  7. Thanks Mike. The undersides and part of the uppers are Gunze Mr. Color Gloss White acrylic but I ran out and finished it with good ol' Testor's Gloss White. I was a little concerned the Testor's enamel might not "agree" with the acrylic but it did just fine.
  8. The Hasegawa 1/32 P-40's have been around for a good while but they are still nice kits. I plan to build this one OOB except for the FineMolds belts plus I intend to use kit decals to do Landers's "Texas Longhorn".
  9. Looking good Peter! Very attractive scheme.
  10. Thanks Carl. I agree. Very interesting and it makes building the same a/c at different time periods nice.
  11. Well at least I'm honest! LOL
  12. LOL Sure is Martin. Thanks.
  13. I have to say Peter I had been working on this build for a couple of weeks before I posted any photos.
  14. Thank you Peter. They are all in a display cabinet together with several other racer builds.
  15. Finished with this one. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19676-bardahl-special-completed/
  16. All done with this one. This is my 3rd Bardahl Special although one of them represents the a/c as it is today (and is numbered as "3" instead of "8") and the 1st two represent it back in the 60's. None are identical. I again used a Revell kit with appropriate mods such as a replacement prop and spinner, removal of the fuselage tank and a couple of others. I really like this particular a/c (I figured y'all figured that out by now!) but I think this will be the last Bardahl Special I build. I hope you like the results of my efforts. Remember please: Click on the 1st photo for best resolution and to view as a slide show.
  17. Fingers crossed!
  18. Really looking good Peter. Excellent paint work (as always). Sure will be a beauty when completed!
  19. Thanks! I'm liking it too Peter. Overall white just "fits" the Mustangs I think.
  20. Thank you. Nice to have a "standby" build sometimes.
  21. Thanks Martin. Since I haven't done any work on it since Sept. 15 (until today) there really haven't been many WIP's. Now, since it's about ready for paint, I hope to post some more WIP photos.
  22. About ready to start applying decals.
  23. Thanks Kevin. In my opinion white really looks good on a P-51 like GSB looks good on a Gorsair. Sort of made for each other LOL.
