  1. Finished. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19334-birdcage-corsair-done/
  2. I'm calling this one done. Painted with Testor's Model Master. After market items are wheels and some Barracuda cockpit decals. Markings are a combination of Tamiya and Techmod. I had originally intended to do more weathering on it but decided to just finish it and move on.
  3. Looks like a -4B due to the 20 mm guns but it could also be a AU-1. I'd bet on a -4B. As far as I know the pigtails attach to the very end of the rocket into the exhaust area. I saw a diagram for that but I couldn't download it.
  4. Decaling completed. Just getting started on some weathering. (I don't plan to add the mud splash!)
  5. I hope it is of some help.
  6. Not the best of photos Frank. but still I think you can see where the "pigtails" attached to the wings.
  7. Well you DID intrude and I don't appreciate it.
  8. Thanks Troy! I set it aside a while back but still do a little work on it from time to time. It's a good kit and builds up without a lot of problems. Nearly done so I should be posting a RFI pretty soon.
  9. I decided to airbrush the wing walks and try to "fade" them some as they were very faded on the real a/c.
  10. Appears to be 2-tone. Yes, I know it's a colorized photo but I still think 2-tone is correct.
  11. Thanks Peter. Still a looong way to go on this one. Lots of weathering to do.
  12. If you have some photos I'd like to see them Alfonso. Otherwise I'll stay with 2-tone.
  13. LOL Correct Dave!! I'm closing in on 20 in 1/32 and not counting the 1/48 builds over the years.
  14. Thank you Dennis. It's one of my favorites also.
  15. A lot of the island based Corsairs suffered from bright sunlight and sand which was tough on the finish. Carrier based didn't have that problem.
