  1. I made a mistake yesterday. I tried Clever putty as a substitute for Milliput. I failed to grasp that CP doesn't cure and is hard to remove from the wheel bay. Nevertheless I have 2 kits! So now I am on my way to get Milliput. I should have 2 of everything for screw ups such as this.
  2. Not the merlin. Hi Cees. #953. Not the merlin. I added that just for the weathering. 953 is an E I hope?
  3. Ernie, you can delete this thread. Thx.
  4. Any landing....... Thanks Marus.
  5. Thanks Marus. The basic fact of the matter is I have brain damage. The chemo I wss on is the only chemo that causes tissue damage to the brain. I had it 290 times. The result of the brain damage leads me to do things, such as make this thread public, that I would not usually do. As a result I have become intensely self conscious. Which leads me to apologize or try to explain myself. I should not be on the internet. Merry Christmas to you too.
  6. It's okay. Everyone has problems. My main concern now is keeping my mind together to complete a large scale model. Two of my mates are gonna give me a hard time if I stray from my current build. As I said to Harv yesterday, I have been modelling consistently for 3 years and have completed 2 1/48 kits, and 1 1/72 kit. Back in the days when I was on T.V alot and had people bowing to me in numerous martial arts schools, I began to feel a bit arrogant, but also wondering what I had done to deserve it. At that time I began to put my own ego on hold. I am quite happy to ask questions, show my ignorance etc etc. Men are weird. He-man macho BS has never been something I admired. Actions mean more. The guy telling a man who survived a terminal cancer and lived on the fine edge of life and death for 31 straight months, cannot understand. I beat terminal cancer and became the # 1 case study in an experimental drug test and 290 chemo treatments, 34 via lumbar punctures. That's how tough I really am. I am also weak in many ways. I can say for certain I have lost intelligence over the past few years. Not that I was ever a genius.
  7. I know. I've had 31 broken bones, a ruptured kidney, terminal cancer and my own mother tried to strangle me, chemical induced insanity etc etc... My mistake was this, I should have approached my mates via PM. I am re-learning how to live ATM.
  8. Awesome. I need some more for other builds.
  9. As you can see, I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer.
  10. I am building Bobby Gibbes' aeroplane.
  11. Well I made a start. What is the best way to simulate canvass in the wheel well? I am building a RAAF bird in the desert? I am thinking miliput.
  12. I am really surprised this exists. Preddy gun cam, August 6, 1944. Ike flies over Normandy in a 2 seater Mustang. What clips have you found?
  13. He just responded to my message "Did the volcano get you?" Apparently they are 600 k's north. Geography was never my strong point. Later this year I will fly from Sydney to Perth so I can get a cheap flight to New Zealand.
  14. Very sad to see people have died in NZ duevto the volcano. My mate, Samir, is in NZ scuba diving in that area. I have sent whatsapp messages. So far no response. I am pretty confident he and his friends, all high end scua divers (they work with James Cameron). Fingers crossed.
  15. Will do. Many thanks! I have 3 resin exhausts. (Why I bought 3 is beyond me?)
  16. There are fires surrounding the city as well as all along the coast of New South Wales, a distance of 2,137 kilometers. A mate said 'It's like the world is ending." I have loads of experience with bush fires, but never the like of this. Apparently some fire were started by humans. As if the climate change isn't enough in Australia, we have lunatics helping it!
  17. I need some propellor decals for a P-40E. Thanks guys.
  18. I am going to attempt to use Chris Wauchop's lovely P-40 as a basic guide. I used to visit Chris at his old shop in Chatswood. He had all these display cabinets filled with great models. He helped me out with a consignment F-18. "You've no choice but to pull off that canopy!" Legend.
  19. Thanks Harv. I forgot Airscale!!!!! I can't forget Airscale. I love that bloke. He's awesome.
  20. Hi guys. I was going to do the Tamiya P-51, however I have chosen this model because I have 2 of them. If or when I screw up I have a back up!
  21. Thanks guys. Everyone does have to watch. I a have chosen the kit. Thanks guys. Ernie you can delete this thread mate. Thanks Bud.
  22. I recently completed a little Spitfire for a child. If I don't have a goal outside myself I cannot do it. I have been trying for 3 years. People Don't have to care. Anyone can put me on ignore.
