Kitty Hawk Pave Hawk

Lovely model. I will be watching. -
Only 216 fire trucks. New South Wales on fire. Fire warning. The climate is getting worse and worse. Back in the 70's I used to help down in Gippsland. The extent of the fires has never been this bad in all my 55 years. I am concerned for the human and animal population. Especially the koalas who move very slowly.

Sadly I have not had time to study all of the great builds going on. This Junkers is looking like a great piece. Wonderful, lovely modelling.- 31 replies

Work has begun on the Hayate. Sadly I deleted the photo. However I can share how lucky I am. A 15 minute bus ride takes me to whole the range of GSI and Tamiya products. Why am I lucky? GSI offers a range of paints covering virtually all the colours used by Japanese corporate weapons builders. My all time favourite modelling subject is Japanese military. I don't know why. I just like the shapes. The current build is a Nakajima Hayate. I have this. Here is my stash of Japanese paints. The Ki-84 is a very simple kit. I won't screw it up.

I screwed up the other fuselages too. Not to worry. I have a large stash and my intent was good. I need to do a completely different subject. I only have 4 jets in 1/32. I was disappointed at first. Now I can do something different. -

What to do? I must choose another. I will try something other than an old WWII aeroplane. The only large model jets I have are few. I am lucky I can laugh at myself. -

Hasegawa P-40E.
Sir Desmond Glazebrook replied to Sir Desmond Glazebrook's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Thank you, Carl. Strangely, I had loads of trouble fitting the radiator. It was really out. So I had to sand, then break things off. (Blaming my numb hands) Hopefully after all the glue has cured I can fix any blemishes. I am not going to touch the fuselage until tomorrow. Time to look at the prop. I love the effect Chris Wauchop gets on his wheels and propeller. Unsure how to do this, I am thinking thinned clear with a touch of buff thrown in and then airbrushed. Thoughts? -
