  1. How was the Star wars?
  2. I didn't get much done over Xmas. Just rescribing and smoothing out joins. The strange light is the sun shining through bush fire smoke. Hasegawa made the model so that the horizontal stabilizers sit at this angle. Although the line drawings I found all showed them as straight, I decided to trust Hasegawa. The model is made this way, it would be impossible to mix up starboard with port.
  3. Wow. Thanks for the master class. Watching.
  4. Indeed. I should start a thread about my 109s. I will call it Folly Messerschmitt. Not wrong.
  5. Thank Tim. Back in the day with 48 scale kits I would use invisible mending thread and then tighten it by holding a lit cigarette near it and remove it quickly as the thread tightened. I still have it and will use it here.
  6. I own a Trumpeter E7. I mean, why????
  7. Did you guys see these reports? My aeroplane heavy YouTube feed reported these events. I have been thinking of getting a Tu-22. Trumpeter make one I think...? I was surprised because I thought the Su-57 had been cancelled. Everything happens in 3's.
  8. Hi Ernie. Can you redrawer my winning bid? I just counted my 109's. I have 17. 7 of which are E models. Carl is cool with it.
  9. Merry Christmas Gaz.
  10. Hi guys. The winners of my stuff can PM me and I'll get them out next week. Merry Christmas. If not I will contact them tomorrow. I am under the weather today due to all the smoke from the bushfires.
  11. Gotta love the Dassault Independence day photo above.
  12. All my information is up to date Ernie.
  13. Great progress. Hi Martin.
  14. Concorde was a lovely aeroplane. We probably need a delta wing thread.
  15. I reckon they are going in for the multiple kill, Harv. F-15 pilots trying to beat the Brewster Buffalo's kill ratio!
  16. Brilliant. I have been drilling tiny holes in the fuselage and horizontal stabilizer. Would you recommend invisible mending thread, or something thicker for 1/32?
  17. Veey cool. It looks a brilliant kit. I have it in my pile of models especially to pull out and gawp at.
  18. What is this word, "prosperous"?
  19. Had Airfix built the later non car door version, I would have bought it. Seems a strange choice.
  20. Thanks very much. I used invisible mending thread when I built 1/48. Should I use the same thread? What is the best way to join thread to thread? For example where the thread from the horizontal stabilizer meets the wire aft of the antenna? What I need is advice on the actual modelling of these wires. Many thanks. (I just woke up. Time to shower and go out to get a strong coffee)
