Tamiya Mossie build resumed
Sir Desmond Glazebrook replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Looking great, John. -
I didn't get much done over Xmas. Just rescribing and smoothing out joins. The strange light is the sun shining through bush fire smoke. Hasegawa made the model so that the horizontal stabilizers sit at this angle. Although the line drawings I found all showed them as straight, I decided to trust Hasegawa. The model is made this way, it would be impossible to mix up starboard with port.

Indeed. I should start a thread about my 109s. I will call it Folly Messerschmitt. Not wrong. -

Had Airfix built the later non car door version, I would have bought it. Seems a strange choice. -
Thanks very much. I used invisible mending thread when I built 1/48. Should I use the same thread? What is the best way to join thread to thread? For example where the thread from the horizontal stabilizer meets the wire aft of the antenna? What I need is advice on the actual modelling of these wires. Many thanks. (I just woke up. Time to shower and go out to get a strong coffee)
