PanzerWomble replied to CANicoll's topic in Non LSM 'WIP
Mahoosive BUFF ! I don't envy you painting it , did a friend's 1/72 Globemaster once as a favour , airbrush compressor was red hot half way through . -
Didn't fancy a try with the Kotare one ? I'd have been tempted for the comparison ?

So , this year I've decided to work my stash down to 10 ....yes just ten boxes ...instead of the 20 that is my norm . Ten is about a years worth of modelling unless I get really bored , it varies between 10/20 completions a year dependant on other projects, motorbikes , cars etc. Too many models bought on a whim , or because they were on offer, or for "nostalgia" , or because I had an bright idea at 3 in the morning π‘only to be 'Bayed 6 months later. I'm also a bit bored doing similar subjects repetitively . I've also set myself the task of one in - one out , so a bit like my yoof ; when you finished one and then thought about the next purchase , unless it was Christmas in which case you might have a few hanging around . I know this is anathema to the SABLE people , or "got to get them all" collectors, and that's fine if that's your thing , I'm not looking to convert or argue with anyone, just sharing my own journey . FYI - On my shelf of finished models, is equally sparse , I only keep what I think of as 'best of the best' for me with the odd exception, so that's 14 in total , make something better ?..one goes . Last year I went with 'no tooling from 19XX' and mostly stuck to it & also 'no Airflups, Miniart or Revell' for ...reasons . I'll let you know how it went next January if ya bothered. Laterz PW

PanzerWomble replied to Martinnfb's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
You're clearly proving "Airfix is not the end " . Our pals with whom we spent the NYE , are off to see his tour in July ...only a big bit jealous . Still love Murder Ballads 30 years on . ......and is that some neat subtle chipping going on there with that there odourless thinners ? -
