Thanks Rob, with the weather here the last few mornings it could certainly be ice!

Thanks Peter. This one has fought me most of the way, so definitely not going to tempt fate. 😁

Built some of those WarHammer kits with my son a decade ago and they go together really nicely.

Wow, that's some serious scratch work!

Bit more progress on this. Decals on, panel line wash done, flat coat down and masking removed. Some fogging inside the canopy on one side but it's just going to have to stay as I don't have the will to fix it and if I position it the right way in the cabinet it'll never be seen.
Next task is to finish all the ancillary parts - weapons, pylons, landing gear etc then we can move on to the Viggen....

That's a tidy legacy for his family.

Those don't look as though they are even for this kit. So far off it's laughable.

I've eyed the Hobby 2000 repop of this but having seen this I think I'll definitely pull the trigger or stick it on the Santa list. Just a slimmer, better looking SLUF!

Thanks Martin, some great builds there.
Not sure I'll ever watch Roger Rabbit in the same way again though!

Hi Kevin, it was Tamiya X22 in a 50/50 mix with Mr Levelling same as l always use.
Never had this before but I rarely use Mr Color paint, so don't know if that was part of it.

Okay, had a bit of an issue here which I've never encountered before.
Started on the decals, went on okay, and hit them with Mr Mark Softer. Came back next morning to find this.... seems to have eaten through the gloss coat and the Mr Color lacquer to expose the primer. I know Mr Mark is fairly 'hot' but never had it do this before and I used it all over the F-14A. 😕
Will revert to Microsol for the remainder of the decals. I'm hoping to hide a lot of this once I start on the weathering with panel line washes and oils. Fingers crossed.

Great solution, just need 3 hands to hold everything while you drill them out. 😁

It's about the only armour you can drive single handed on UK roads without drama, although cameras are advisable . A Fez should do 40 ...
Did watch a bloke and his wife reverse their Ferret into a Landrover once and then try legging it . She claimed she didn't notcie, which at 4 tons is probably valid.
40's not too bad, certainly no worse than some of the trucks and farm vehicles around here. It's probably smaller than some of enormous 4x4s used for the school run in Aberdeen! 😄

I'm a little out of touch but last time I looked they were £8-10K.
I passed on one without an engine about 6 years ago that was £1500 ...which would have been ideal had I had the space at that time , as the plan was to fit a 300tDi and autobox out a Discovery . I met some fellas who had done this conversion before , giving a higher torque , same (ish) rev range so the speed is similar , but with quadrouple the MPG. Just didn't have the workshop space at that point.
PS I lusted after a Stalwart for about ten years , but again it's where to put it .
That's a lot less than I thought. Don't think it would handle the dual-carriageway drive to work very well though.

Thanks for the pics Ernie, some real cool builds. As you say the Ju-52 is a stunner.
I'd agree with Peter that the Tamiya F-14 is great if you want everything closed but that AMK does look stunning with the Black Dog add-ons.

Thanks for the update Ernie. Sounds like a long road ahead but please pass on all our thoughts and best wishes.

I've heard it mentioned elsewhere that Maketar seem to have dropped of the radar. I hope not as I liked their stuff and preferred it to Montex for example.
