Administrators JeroenPeters Posted October 13, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 13, 2013 Hi guys, Just came back from another great edition of the dutch Scale Model Challenge. I went there with Cees and stumbled on Erik, Huub and Jeroen Veen. Here's a pic taken by Jeroen Veen's lovely partner: (left to right: Cees, Jeroen Veen, Huub, Jeroen (me) and Erik.) Jeroen Veen, Huub and Erik were judges in the competition area. This was the first time i ever saw judges using permanent red marker on the models to point out flaws... Very disturbing. This is just a pic of a german car i wanted to share. Pretty Dumb hm? Jay Laverty showing us how to apply a wash. This was right before Cees called him a Moron. We are dutch. So when you tell us to put more on, we can get confused... Jose Pinto doing a demo: 1/16 T-38: Great way of sneaking a braille scale under the radar: Amazing work by Marcel du Long: Really cool Belgian scheme by Jan Goormans: And to top it all off I met with Maciej from Kagero books. Really nice guy. He gave 5 new Kagero books to the LSM staff to review. (I promise the review will feature better pics):
Administrators James H Posted October 13, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 13, 2013 Looks a great show, only balanced out with Laverty being there! Is that Dave Parker's 219?

rkranias
scarry bunch at the table. perhaps someday I will be in a group picture with you all. perm red marker to point out flaws? would not make me happy. I'd be in jail as my builds would be covered by red marker! I would like to see a written critique on my builds but not with perm red marker. thanks for posting, looks like you guys had a good time. my fav is the Belgian J2M3. Wingco57
Well, we had thought about having a stamp made with LSM's seal of approval but we feared Not many competition models would survive the process. Cees

And we put some red marks on exquisite builds too, just for good measure! We of the Society of G.O.N.A.D.S.* can't sit still when we see better work than ours! So, there! * Gods Of Narcism And Demented Style
