Hello!  I'm not brand new but I have been gone for a few years.  Life runs it's course, ups downs, twist and turns.  I found myself in a bit of a bad place mentally and after a very good visit from a very good friend I was reminded how much I missed this place and this hobby.  I am in the process of restarting building again and first up is a new work bench and tracking down supplies and a kit.  I had gotten rid of everything model related.  I think I know what the first build back will be and I very much look forward to talking with everyone again and get those creative juices flowing!!

I'm new here.  I just started back in to modelling when I retired at thew end of 2024.  I haven't picked up a model for years but have several on my wish list.  I picked up a re-issued AMT Aerial Chief, a platform fire truck (1/25) that I will tackle later.  First I want to "ease" back into the hobby with a few smaller models.  I even picked up a set of wooden boat models - skill 1, 2 amd 3.

Welcome Snowbear to the best a most relaxed model forum on the inter web. I retired end of November last year so I’m with you in trying to come to terms with being on permanent holiday. I’ve been back a few years at the bench but shout if you want anything……..
