1/72 Anagrand XA-38 Grizzly to the SOD

I've had this kit for a good while and I feel it's about time to build it (or at least give it a try LOL). I think it's a cool looking airplane and it's a shame it wasn't put into production.

Will be following with great interest and learning about both the kit and aircraft. Agreed, the vac canopy is going to be a bit fiddly and hoping it isn't a cuss factor at all. 🤞

Fuselage joined up. Quite a bit of sanding and puttying needed.

Test fitting the cowlings. NOT good. This area is the worst fitting so far. Possible SOD candidate but not just yet.

Yikes!  I've seen those kits on Hannants and on eBay from time to time.  Hope that's the only issue in your kit and is not a forecast of further problems to come.

So far this is the only really poor fitting area although some others don't fit all that well either. I've done some work on it to try to fix it and it looks like it might be okay. Dremel and white putty LOL.

I decided to test fit the vac canopies before going any furthur. I'm glad I did because, as you can see, they are too wide and a bit too long. I don't know how I'd correct that so I'm going to put this one on the SOD. 😕

Anigrand make some esoteric subjects but their quality is all over the map.

Sadly it looks like this is one of their more quality challenged ones. 

Which is truly unfortunate especially at some of the prices they charge.

I was very disappointed as I wanted to get this one built. Cool looking airplane. Oh well. 😕

Has to be one of if not the worst fitting and molded kits I've ever seen. The SOD is still too good of a place for it. My vote is the BIN!
